That's a very depressing post. Be happy dear, if you're so depressed about your life today, change it. I'm happier now than i was in 1981 - no more school! Freedom! As for the music, well....nothing i can do about that

Happy Very Special Anniversary of their professional Career in making the difference for the global music production that brings the key of being the best musical singers in the world of royalty. 1981 -2021 What they done over the year is totally amazing for the world to shine up the gear of insperational genearations which is confident enough for them to be in charge of their loyalty of trust. What a amazing celbration of their perfect career in the land of fanasty. These singers are the top mostdecent bands in the musical history of Europrofession of Royal Musical Arts. Blast from Old School to New School Generations.

Interesting just seen this on BBC2 programme The Story of 1982. Lyrics written by Peter Sinfield from rock group King Crimson. Despite the sugar coating the song had darker meaning with Something nasty in your garden referring to the Thatcher government at the time...

Peter Pan never looked more fetching than being portrayed by Cheryl Baker, and I imagine Jay got a few proposals in that outfit; I also imagine the BBC didn't want them in their original outfits for this song, where Jay and Cheryl had just enough on to keep the censors happy. Pete Sinfield and Andy Hill wrote what Sinfield called a clever rebuke of the Thatcher administration; wasn't released over in the US until 1982, from an LP called "Bucks Fizz". They apparently mashed the first two albums together over here and really didn't promote it.

It was Jay herself who came up with these costumes, but Cheryl wanted the playful sort of look, hence her outfit. In fact, from this point on, Jay designed all their looks and apparently Cheryl was hard to please

@zanducktv23986 жыл бұрын
Jay designed a lot of their outfits, and in a feature in Number One magazine about them, she said Cheryl liked pretty, cute things while she always went for something more sexy. She comes from a theatrical family, and said from a young age she was used to seeing ladies on stage in just bikinis. Have you seen the performance of If You Can’t Stand The Heat from some German pop show where Jay’s in what looks like leather bondage gear! She wore it at gigs around the same time too. Then there’s her performances of Easy Love and When We Were Young, wowsers! 🥵
@davidrowe178711 жыл бұрын
Eh??? I don't understand your line of response? Jay is pure unadulterated dirt, how could anyone deny that? she would test the discipline of even the hardiest of monks........... and as for Cheryl, my opinion remains the same, totally out of place in a cheesy 80s pop band.
@muscleboi4use14 жыл бұрын
I always thought Jay Aston looked easy and Cheryl Baker looked cheesy! Still, there was a time when Cheryl Baker was the most famous Cheryl in all of Great Britain (wonder if Cheryl Cole's mother named her after Cheryl Baker, now wouldn't that be something!!!) LOVE this song though!

Martin when this Fizz song was a hit in 1981/82 Abba hadn't completely stopped, as a few singles from them were still being released that year in the 1981/1982 period.
