Underrated indeed. There was a huge bias against pop bands as opposed to rock outfits like U2. So stupid of course, then - and now! It takes a lot more talent to come up with a pop hook than a rock song

If Jay Aston had won the cosmic lottery, she would've been Madonna. So fierce and charismatic. Always thought it was a pity she never reached her true potential. She has a touch of the Lady Ga Ga's in this video.

That's so true about Jay Aston. I could barely take my eyes off her when Bucks Fizz performed. She also had a great (and natural) pout.

She ended up in a lawsuit with their manager & that as she was so sick and fed up that she wanted out of her contract, in the end they ended up settling out of court and one of the conditions was that she didn't launch a solo career which was why she basically disappeared after her Bucks Fizz days

I LOVE Jay Aston because among the 4 Fizzes she is the troublemaker and the one with the rollercoaster biography, and i like that. INCREDIBLE her performance in Getting Kinda Lonely. But to be fair towards Cheryl Baker: When I first saw all the Bucks Fizz videos from the 80s, I was thinking that she was the centre of attention...

Úžasná skladba populárna v disco kluboch v BA, hoci z pohľadu umiestnenia nebola v UK veľmi úspešná...v jeseni 1983 skončila len na 35.m.. Skupina Bucks Fizz je aj tak najúspešnejším britským interpretom, ktorý zvíťazil vo Velkej cene Eurovizie,pretože ako jediní mali na vrchole rebríčka v UK tri skladby.V roku 1981 Makung Your Mind a The Land Of Make Believe a v roku 1982 My Camera Never Lies.

Every song i listen to the lyrics, cheesy 80s. I think its good for learning music to get hearing all the way back to at least early beatles,ecclectic listening can surely only help an artist to play more unique sounds with all those styles,mix and match,experiment. Its all the best fun learning, your ears and your brain will remember even subconsciously until you end up with a mox of your favourite favourite noies ultimately. The beatles all albums show a unique progression from very few chords to complex orchestral.B ut still with diary in hand id just play the emotion of what youve written. The best songs i think are like diary excerpts where you wrote feelings down , feel how the emotions were and play it out. Best music is like a story, theatre production. Like kate bush. ultimate genius played with all things music, dance,writing with imagination, where theatre plays the part of the song to commincate and arrange everything together,words, song,dance,theatre. The beatles were genius in that they were open to learning new instruments,guitar and piano, e❤❤asily be guitar and keyboard. Just some thoughts... sorry about typos phone letters very small.

Bucks Fizz were no poor mans Abba they had more street creed , sex appeal and being younger tons more energy and chutzpah. Abba were more polished and middle of the road. I'd say Bucks Fizz were much better then Abba because they were British and because we don't have to continuously hear their records getting overplayed like Abba and all that retro memorabilia.

@jasonfury17 жыл бұрын
Why compare them to Abba for fucks sake. Abba were a band of the seventies Bucks Fizz were of the 80s both great bands from completely different eras and with totally different group dynamics. Abba split at the perfect time they would have probably sounded dated and out of place as the 80s wore on.
