I love Bud Cort, NOW and forever. Harold and Maude is my favourite film of all time. I have read about Mr Cort, his life after H & M, and think it discraceful that he receives little or no royalties for Harold. No other young actor could have made Harold what he is, sensitive, funny and of course handsome amongst other things. I wish him all the best.

Hal Ashby made a classic with "Harold and Maude." Bud Cort kicked (in a beautiful sublime way.) And Ruth. My wife and I precariously were driving around Martha's Vinyard one day on vacation ('85). And (boom) Ruth Gordon was giving a lecture/talk at a church, We were in. She reminisced, took questions. It was great. Two days later she passed. I remember her in "Rosemary's Baby" -I was young - and that great Columbo episode. Peace on earth.

Bud Cort fans should make sure they see "Why Shoot the Teacher" - a Canadian film that is a bit more obscure than Bud's other movies (it's been uploaded to KZbin.) He is the lead in the film and is wonderful in it. Also...the oft-told tale of the Marx Bros. "starting a fire" (or "roasting potatoes" in another version) outside a producer's office - because they were kept waiting too long - involved Irving Thalberg at MGM, not Jack Warner. I'm surprised Bud didn't get that detail right.

Well, this just blew my mind. He says he lived with Gracho Marx for 7 years and unfortunately Roseanne skims right over his statement that, "he died in my arms." Holy crap. "Harold and Maude" is one of my top 5 favorite movies and I saw it at a time in my life when I was struggling to stay on the planet, and it literally changed my life. I love, love, love Ruth Gordon, especially in her role as Maude -- so inspiring and thought provoking in so many ways. I loved this interview -- now I am going to look for the next two parts.

Hey Bud, you may well be miffed with The Harold and Maude thing but, and it's a big but, and I know it doesn't put food on the table, but hey your riches for that fantastic role alongside the amazing Ruth Gordon are in the unbelievable amounts of joy you both gave the people who've watched and loved the film over the years. All the best buddy !

You won't be disappointed. I was a teenager in the 70's when I staggered into my mum and dad's house when I'd been out on the lash one Friday night. Popped the telly on and the late night film was Harold and Maude. I was blown away and have loved it ever since !

Bud Cort ! One of the greatist classic cult film actors ever! Why was he cut out of the profits from Herold And Maude? This is not fair! Would Ruth Gorden aprove if she was still alive? was she that heartless? I don't think so, but my opinion of her is one of a great Fan. I hope she cared about this young man she starred with, who probably did'nt have the power she had in the indrustry at the time. though at the time old white men had the power. maybe she did'nt get much money from this movie either. If you're a fan of this movie. This is something to think about. Please think about it and act acordinally.

She has a screechy, horrid, unnerving voice; she's positively foul. Her stand-up comedy routines are brutal and disgusting and vulgar. She's terribly abusive and brutal on the ears. I'm in shock that this bi-polar, overbearing, domineering, commando, tank of a bulldozer, shouted at this marvelous man, "YOU'RE OLD! YOU'RE OLD." He's such a raving class act and so gracious and charming. He isn't old, for crap sake, he's only about 58 in this video, 64 today. It's his weight and beard. I LOVE HIM
@ToddDouglasFox2 жыл бұрын
He was born in ‘48. In this interview he is 52, it was filmed in 2000. Easy math.

Thank you for clearing that up, Todd. Yes, he's 74 today. He's a terrific actor. Interesting how people can change for the better or worse --reading what I wrote 9 years ago; my scathing rant, disapproving of Roseann's interview. I would not have written that today.
