They left out how the marketing executive who pushed this partnership, Alissa Heinerscheid, wanted to and planned to move the beer away from the 'frat-boy' image that Bud Light is associated with. It was to be the first of many steps to expand their demographics. Just like other political corporate campaigns, like that Pepsi ad they mentioned, were all just to increase their demographic of drinkers, and in turn their sales. But it totally backfired on them.

I don’t think the problem is that they put a trans person on the can; I think the problem is that the person they put on the can is annoying to most of the kind of people who buy Bud Light. Bud Light’s demographic is down to earth people Dylan Mulvaney is not down to earth. They should’ve given the sponsorship deal to Blaire White.
