I remember when my aunt told me she had a new coworker who was a woman who identified herself as a non-binary whatever and had been hired with the mediation of a public organization that facilitated jobs to people with deficiencies. My aunt was quite enthusiastic about that, and told me how the whole staff had to learn about the pronoun that person had invented for herself, like it was a good thing, plus they had to adapt to some other weird shenanigans just so they didn't hurt her feelings. (Note that my language has gendered words, unlike English. So a "pronoun" encompasses our whole talk) I told my aunt straight away that it sounded absolutely stupid. My aut then lightly scolded me, telling me I should have a bit more empathy. The following conversation went something like: -I see. So... does (weird pronoun) have any kind of depression or psychological trauma? -No, it doesn't seem so. -What does she mean by non-binary? -That she identifies herself as neither a man or woman. -But... isn't she clearly a woman? -She looks like it. Yeah. -Then... Does she have any deficiencies or disabilities? -No. She moves and works just fine. -Does she have any speech impediment? Anything that limits her capacities? -No. She's actually quite the chatterbox. -Any learning difficulties? Low intelligence? Nothing? -Not really. -In that case, if she has no traumas, no depression, no disabilities and nothing that really requires a preferencial treatment, why are you all suddenly using words you've never used and butchering the dictionary talking like idiots only to please a person you've just met whose only particularity is that of being delusional with herself? That silenced my aunt for a long while. And, at the end, she didn't know what to say.

I'm an American married to an Aussie, and we live in the US. The Bud Light thing was really humorous to me. When light beers came out on the American market, they were perceived by the public as a "girl's beer." I remember middle aged men grumbling things like, "I'm not watching my figure! Give me a MAN'S BEER!" In response, Budweiser worked very hard to change the image with an aggressive advertising campaign full of sexy women in bikinis, young men partying, swimming pools, and even a party dog! It worked. Bud Light was the number one beer of choice for men between the ages of 21 and 50. Why on earth they decided to stray from the demographic they worked so hard to win is mind boggling.

My husband and I were in Anaheim recently for his job and we decided to walk around downtown Disney because it was free. Downtown Disney was packed, but as we got closer to the actual theme park entrance, it was less crowded. We didn’t see anyone actually going in and out of the park. We did see some rainbows while walking around the downtown area, but when I walked in the Star Wars store just to check it out and not planning to buy anything, I saw a shirt in the boys’ clothing area that was cut to fit like a girl’s shirt. I turned around and walked out. My husband and I didn’t spend money on Disney things while walking around, but I enjoyed seeing the balloons and pretty flowers. If it wasn’t for Disney’s agenda, I may have purchased a mug or something. I guess they did me a favor by keeping me from spending money.

I was never a beer drinker, but when I was a child, I loved watching the Anheuser-Busch commercials featuring the clydesdale horses at Christmas time. I also remember hearing the slogan, "This Bud's for you" during baseball games. It's really sad to see what they have become today. I've never had Ben & Jerry's, nor have I ever stepped inside of a Starbucks before. I quit shopping at Target years ago when they started allowing men into women's bathrooms & dressing rooms.

School is meant to be a place to learn specific skills to prepare the students for their future. Specially since I live in a third world country and poverty is a thing. The kids don't have time to worry whether a willy or a coochie turns them on As for the children being LGBT, yes they are included in our classroom but we don't care if they are straight or not. In fact in our country, the only thing that gets mentioned about the LGBTQ+ are the gays, because gays by far are the most common to see in this phenomenon (lesbians are a rarity but they are often referred to as tomboys instead) and while young boys do make fun of them, they prefer to hang out with the girls so it's not really a problem. As for the teachers and me as someone whose already near graduation and is doing my internship, we are told not to care for their sexuality we are taught to be accepting to them. What's important is that they are learning and since I am teaching math... yeah, sexuality has no place in my classroom I barely have enough time teaching them the lesson in my internship, I don't care if you are straight or not, just make sure you are learning from me. As for Hetero Material... do I have to say it, we don't really care for someone's sexuality and in our classroom and there are barely any reading materials, students have to go to the library to read because that's where all the books go in a third world country school. And those reading materials are catered towards the subjects like Math, Science, History and so on and so forth. For example school that I spend 2 months as an intern, there are no book in the classroom because the students don't really read them, and in the library, the books there are more educational catered towards the subjects. because the students go to the library to do their assignments. As for children exploring their sexuality when even before puberty, I don't have much say into this because yes... some do, I've had gay classmates before. But here's the thing, In our country, this doesn't happen that often... because once again, we are in a third world country. A kid being gay isn't much of a problem when they have to go home they barely have enough time to play if they are not helping their parents sell fried foods on the street. As for my stance for LGBTQ+, I don't mind them, to be honest I actually like talking to gays because they tend to be more expressive when I talk to them but they are incredibly rare to run into As to why I don't want LGBTQ+ stuff in the classroom, it doesn't really have a place for a classroom in our country, the teachers are already accepting of them, the students don't really mind them, and there are other things that puts pressure on the students -------------------------------- Okay I am not one a very confronting person and the things that I said above can be attributed to "You live in a different country than us" because it is. I never want this to be a part of the classroom because the students don't really care about it. From what I see, there are only three types of people who talk about LGBTQ+. Those who live in a country that oppress them, those who want to imitate first world countries, and of course 1st world countries.. I wouldn't be checking videos of this kind if things if not for the influence of American politics creeping in the classroom of my younger sister where her teacher, was talking about white supremacy when it had nothing to do with our history, his students pretty much hated him because of that. -If you have other questions, I am willing to answer them so long as we try to keep it civilized

The reason these protests are working is because it is the products' consumers who are actually turning on them - as opposed to the astroturfing where people who do not use a product anyway write letters and emails saying they are going to stop using it.
