Budapest and its trams | 4K

The Hungarian capital has one of the largest and most interesting tram networks in the world. Five different types of trams are in use today: the Hungarian classics CSMG / KCSV-7, the Duewag TW 6000 imported from Hanover, Tatra fans are served with the T5C5, Siemens Combino and CAF Urbos 3 represent modern low-floor technology, and the latter are the longest trams in the world today! Also in the video: the most beautiful tram routes, historical trams in the BKV Museum in Szentendre and of course, as always, the most important sights of the Danube metropolis.

Nirgenwo würde ich gerne leben, ausser meiner Heimatstadt Budapest. Danke sehr für dass herrliche video. Wir haben fast die unikalste Strassenbahnen der Welt. Und unsere Bahnhöfe obwohl nicht die effizienzeste nicht die modernste, nicht die sauberste aber als Architektur, die schönsten.Danke nochmal fürs video.

Mein Vater ist Budapester, daher liebe ich diese Stadt und kenn sie sehr gut. Ich liebe Budapest für seine Ikarus-Busse, Tatras, alten Sowjetmetros und etc.. Mein erstes ungarisches Wort war 'villamos' (es kamen nicht viele weitere hinzu) 😂 Wieder ganz tolles Video von dir...herrlich und danke 👍

Some T5C5 have not been modernized and still have original electric equipment. I don't think you included it in the video. Not all current Tatras are after modernization. The process of modernizing of remaining original-T5C5s is still ongoing. ;)

CSMG and KCSV-7 goes in the most beautiful areas. TW6000 goes in the worst neighborhoods. Tatras are everywhere. Combino in the busiest lines (1, 4 and 6) CAF's are mostly in Buda (best neighborhoods) and line 1 and 3.

TW6000 the only, which was not built to Budapest, but was "life-saving" to purchase them in order to replace the old UV trams. (UV my beloved old tram). Due to its size and steps was not possible to use them in the inner city, but only on the outskirts lines, where it was more simply to build up and adjust the tracks and stops to the size of that tram.

You forgot KCSV-7 as a tram type at the beginning, it counts as an another one :(

It would look confusing with two trams which look almost identical. KCSV-7 is introduced at 1:22.

Wann kommt ein Video mit dem bukaresten Netz? Hier sind weniger als 20 Tatra T4R Wagen in Betrieb. Vielleicht werden sie in diesem Jahr oder im nächsten Jahr ersetzt. Und niemand weiß, ob mindenstens ein Wagen als Museumsexponat behalten wird. Sie sind seit 1974 ohne Pause gefahren.

Wenn man eine 56 Meter lange Straßenbahn braucht, kann man eigentlich auch direkt ne Metrolinie bauen

Es wird derzeit auch eine Metrolinie5 geplant. Du musst jedoch wissen, dass Budapest teilweise sehr felsigen Untergrund hat und daher der U-Bahnbau teilweise komplizierter und kostspieliger ist, als anderswo .
