I am a roman Catholic... But when I heard the teaching of Buddha from the voice of @dare to do motivation... I'm falling in love on Buddha's teaching... It's teaching all about life... Not like some of the Christian, trying to destroy others faith.... Maybe all the Buddhist are kind person and a good model of Humanity... Religion is not about faith but it's all about teaching... It's my 4 months of listening on this page about teaching of Buddha every night

Buddha mostly appreciate releasing attachments from the mind with materials, mostly rather than physically. Once your mind is ready, everything is possible. Buddha also had his followers who were Kings and wealthy people also... The releasing of things attachment should be do with our mind, not mainly by physically. That's the most special part. Once you able to release the attachment of anything from your mind, you can still use them physically for your needs. But you'll never worry or unhappy about losing them either... Practicing this will lead you to the real happiness like monks.

Live a life of simplicity...With needs only not wants...
@blessall23704 жыл бұрын
“Less is More” is just a concept of perception. When One sees that the aspects of freedom is not what we want it; or how we want it; and when we want it. When we are aware and mindful that the cause of all sufferings(Duhkka) is due to our own craving(Tanha) desires which lead to attachment. In the 2nd noble truth, the craving for sensual pleasure; the craving for existence; and the craving for non-existence, this are the 3 craving desires causes that lead to all sufferings. Not all desires are bad, especially for One who desired for more towards the practice of Buddha-Dhamma, the problem is not desire itself, it’s craving that is the problems. Having possession with more materialism dun really give us freedom and peacefulness and make us happy, maybe some satisfaction for awhile. Having less also not necessarily be miserable if we understand that it is what it is, we see things as what they are without wanting or not wanting by letting go without attaching to them. Life is uncertain, it’s impermanence and subjected to change, and it’s full of unsatisfactory. We see them as Anicca,(Impermanence) Duhkka,(Sufferings) and Anatta.(Non-Self) True Peace and Freedom comes from letting go, just liked Ajahn Chah said, do everything with a mind that lets go. Don’t accept praise or gain or anything else. If we let go a little, we will have a little peace; if we let go a lot we will have a lot of peace; if we let go completely we will have complete peace. With complete peace we are truly free from duhkka. In conclusion; The problem is not really whether how many materialism is in our possession especially for us as a layperson unless you are an ordained monk/nun, a samana, One who seek for the highest level trainings of the buddha-dhamma. Its the way how we sees things and how we hold them. Are we holding them with/without attachments. As what Luang Por Chah had taught us; see it in the way that when I understand that the glass is already broken, because I know its fate, every moment with it is precious, I enjoy it fully here and now. And when it’s gone, it’s gone. When we understand the truth of uncertainty and let go without attachments, we become free.🙏

Sometimes I pick up a cow to care for, then encourage release once it is strong enough. Just like how a family will take care of a sick traveler at their doorstep, it's important to remember 'help' is only temporary when necessary, never forever.

I wanted more and more and I grew desparate for a short period of time until I realized I didn't need the lot I already have. In the meantime, a sold a few guitars and amps and now I am happy.
