Learn to make your own and stock up on primers and powder. Many the last few years have learned the hard way you can not just run out and get more at the store when you are out. Also allows you to practice with the hand loads and save the factory stuff for emergencies. Then pick up some bullet molds and gas check cutters also to reduce what you need to buy even more.

The visual representation was just what some people need. Many don't realize what a bug out bag is or as I call it a go bag. Even at 64 years old in a two year battle with pancreas I keep my go bag with me at all times. During chemo, during radiation, during trips to the hospital. plus my bag has a concealed carry secret compartment. Another very informative video Buddy Brown. People just need to always be prepared. For the record, in the 30 years I spent teaching social studies in the fourth largest school district in the country, I went thru stuff like this ALL THE TIME. I used my experiences as an Infantry Officer to teach critical thinking skills AND survival, usually in group exercises. I’d write up a “situation” and form groups. Usually something like a car wreck in a desolate snow covered country road way out of cell range. Before 1995 most kids didn’t even know about that stuff. I’d make a list of stuff that had to be done and then give them basic choices. Like a member of the group is injured. Do they leave the wreck and try to get help or stay and wait for help? There’s no correct answer, the way I set it up. But all the groups have to do a presentation and justify all their answers and the rest of the class got to ask questions and critique the other groups. We all had a blast and you’d be stunned at how these inner city high school kids responded. One group suggested staying with the vehicle and draining the gas tank onto the the tires (the car had rolled over) to light them on fire as a signal device!

@@patriciaecampbell372 thank you. They did adore me both in the high school and middle school when I taught that. But almost universally my bosses and “colleagues” hated me. That said, I taught huge numbers to handle a gun for the FL ccw permit! I was an NRA Instructor for 35 years. They’d always corral me in the parking lot and ask to be taught but PLEASE not to let anyone else know about it! Shhhhhhhh! Being the activist that I am, I was routinely published in the Miami Herald extolling some conservative cause which was usually on the Second Amendment. They published my letter after the 911 attacks in full, no editing. Like seven paragraphs. Whenever I got a letter published (about four times a year) the following day at the sign-in sheets were ICY in terms of glares from administration and staff. Sometimes I could get close enough to hear their vile comments and then someone would spit me and I’d usually hear this: “Here he comes. Shhhh. Don’t say anything, you’ll only encourage him!” I remember when the issue of militias in Florida was big in the early 90’s because Florida at that time had some of the biggest and well equipped examples of the breed in the country. So I’m sitting in the Teacher’s Workroom/Eating Facility one day and this really gorgeous math teacher who was so liberal she was a waste of oxygen yelled at me from across the room causing all eating and conversation to focus on her comments and my reply. She wanted to know if I was in a Militia? I paused and thought and said: “Two things. First I’m a Captain of Infantry in the US Army reserve. But, to be specific, no I’m not in a “militia.” But not because I don’t believe in what they do. They just can’t teach me anything NEW!” She literally ran from the room, screaming. Everyone else just chuckled and asked what did she expect in crossing swords with K?

I am in my 60s now, but I would have adored having you as my teacher in probably anything! My Dad was career Navy, 20 years, so I grew up with the military around me. I had the great fortune to have three wonderful Sons, so I did what any red blooded American would do-I put them in Boy Scouts. All three graduated as Eagle Scouts, so they learned how to pitch a tent, make a fire without matches, how to lay snares, how to bake mouthwatering biscuits in a cast iron oven embedded underground fueled by charcoal briquettes on both the top and bottom of the pot. Endless things. They loved everything about it. Of course I was there in the woods with EVERY trip. Buy I stayed out of the way of course-this was boys enjoying being boys but learning vital life skills. One Son had grand mal seizures so that is why I was always somewhere around Woodruff, Shiloh or just Camp V-Bar. The saddest day was when Scouts went ‘woke’. Thankfully mine had made Eagle way before that. But thank YOU for being such an example to the youth you were teaching. Reading your story made me proud.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💪🏼😎

I always felt the same way about gold and silver as well. The #1 commodity in a SHTF situation is going to be lead. Plain and simple. Gold isn't going to keep me fed, it isn't going to protect me, and it isn't going to keep me warm. The only value I do see in having it, is that when/if the economy rebounds and stabalizes, you could be sitting on a fortune. That being said... You better protect your precious gold with lead while your waiting for that rebound.
@shadowcat3163

Gold/Silver have their uses. Prepping means preparing for more than one thing. SHTF could be grid down, pandemic, nuke war, or even the dollar crashing. Gold/silver are the hedge against a currency crash. As your 401K and bank account crash metals will gain in value and be more acceptable in exchange. Worst case you can at least pay your property taxes with it to keep your base of operations a bit longer. Lead s good but not real helpful if we retain some form of law, Off grid supplies are not real helpful when the grid is strong, and some sort of cash reserve will be helpful when taxes are still collected, and the banks have failed. Many things can go wrong, cover as many as you can because one size does not fit all.

Love your music, also love this other side of you. Wife & I keep our BOBs in the truck, ready, along with an old but perfect Remington 870, with shells. Have other needs there, too, but don't need to list them here. It's a serious message, you must prepare to take care of yourself and family. Thanks for the reminder BB.

Another great video with great advice! Thanks for the learning aid. Some people really needed that. Your bug-out bag is a good piece of advice. Tailored for your needs. Being an old Boy Scout I always have had one. Mess kit, canteen, flint and steel fire starter, hand warmer and fuel for it. So many more items for survival. Good advice, be prepared!

Duct tape: Back in the 80's I had one of my crazy ear rings poke a hole in my water bed. I lifted the spot dried it good and put a cross of duct tape. That sucker held for years! Dad used to always say "If you cant Duct it than F**k it!" 😂

Great and useful video! Each member of my family has at least 1 bug out bag with them at all times. As a dyslexic adult, I appreciate your verbal and visual representations. Extra items that we carry in our bags are towels, a change of clothes, ammo and ziploc bags. Ziploc bags have close to the same amount of different usages as duct tape does. I personally always have a fishing rod in my trucks with a small essential tackle box. I love that you showed the first thing you should do when handed any type of gun. I’m sure there are people out there that didn’t know the importance to check that. I’m not a dooms day prepper either, but you can beat your tail that with it all hits the fan our family will survive.

Hey Buddy, great video. I know you have fire starters in the bag, but what if you’re in a situation where you can’t boil water? You need some type of purification. Whether it be iodine tablets or suction pump type.

@@anjhindul As others have said, fire will kill living stuff in the water but does nothing for chemicals. A simple aqua filter will help sift out that stuff. Iodine tabs also will not kill the chemicals in the water, so again need some sort of physical filter.

@@UnschoolingCOM The fluoride and other chemicals may possibly give you cancer in 20-30 years. That’s not something any rational person is concerned with when surviving on their go bag. Boiling water will kill everything that within 12 hrs after drinking it would have you squatting over a hole while simultaneously projectile vomiting. This whole channel is about being realistic and practical - worrying about fluoride and GMOs when the SHTF is neither.
