For those extra thick tire plugs, I usually like coating them in rubber cement so that it lubricates them while wet to make it go in easier. Then once the cement drys up it'll give the plug an even better seal against leaks.
@SumitBisht0 Жыл бұрын
yes and the tyre plugs are as good as those patches
@kimblem.w9952 Жыл бұрын
@@SumitBisht0 the only dis-advantage with the plugs is the leak may come back if you're driving on rough roads as it might shift the plug. I've had to redo plugs on my tires every few months because city roads suck.
@kimblem.w9952 Жыл бұрын
@@xCMG1987x In Canada its illegal to charge a customer to put on those plugs as it is not a "repair". It's only used as an emergency to hold the leak down until a shop repairs it properly with a tire patch.

I actually have a question I’ve wondered for a while. Do you get the title from the previous owner and have to wait for a new title to be shipped to you in your name? Are you able to just sell a car in a weekend? How do you handle getting the title/bill of sale side of things?

Each state is different. In my state we technically have a limit of 5 sales a year without a license. We also have like 30 days to acquire registration in my name. But none of us do. I buy a vehicle, take a week or 2 to fix it up, then hand over the title/bill of sale to new owner. It appears as if the new owner bought directly from the guy I got it from. Not sure if thats illegal or not lol.

One things is I tell the seller I'm gonna go on a test drive and I pull over to a parking lot so I can be alone with the car. That way I can take my time looking the car over. Sellers will talk your ear off and mess up you concentration/ inspection.

Good video and detailed on what to look for and how to recondition them for resale. As we say in the dealer world... You make your money buying them, not selling them. Getting the best purchase price on the frontend sets up the best profit on the backend. I think some other good points to note here when dealing with flipping cars on the side: 1. Depending on your local state laws you may be only legally allowed a certain amount of car sales a year before the state might require you to obtain a dealer license. 2. Again, depending on your local state laws.... when you title the vehicle after purchasing the flip car you may be required to pay sales tax/or carry insurance on it. These are costs to consider into the flip. Typically speaking cheaper cars will be best for lower taxes & insurance if needed. 3. You will not profit on every vehicle you flip. Even the best and most experienced make mistakes or run into costly repairs. The name of the game is to win more than you lose. Sometimes you may need to cut a loss and lick your wounds to free up cash for the next flip.
