I'm finally almost done with my stock block 347. I didn't touch it through summer because it was too hot outside. Just started back at it and almost all buttoned up.

Had something similar happen to my 414. A lifter lost a snap ring. Found it inside the oil pump. locked it up, made the pump shaft look like a candy cane.

I built a motor with original boss 302 heads on a 289 block. Has all the gangster parts in it. But it’s still on the stand I built it on 3 years ago. I think we’re the opposite on the getting it off jack stands attitude. Maybe one day

@@Neomustangs why go that route when Ford built you a stroker from the factory. You do a lot of stock stuff so why not just use the 400. Dirt cheap and Kasse crushed the EMC for a decade with em.

I hate that you're having trouble with the 387 seems like oil starving for sure. I will definitely be interested in the clever idea. Those heads flow better stock than any LS head ever made.

Damn bud, that sucks. Once you changed out the cam pin, you were in the clear. But what you found in the oil pan, i would suspect oil starvation of some sort, but you will find out once the oil pan comes off. Either way it still sucks.

Thats what we are thinking. Starved. That was a spare oil pan on an old build and it was a dry sump style.

Interesting to see what the issue is had a similar situation that was the oil pump gasket had shifted over between the block and the pump can t wait to see that clevor build have a friend who did that years ago with 2v heads

I've been dying to see someone do a clevor build!!!! I can't find any vids on it, I have a set of Cleveland closed chambered heads and a 69 302w block I want to build and a 2m crank I think or 3m cant remember, whichever one is the stronger crank I have LOL BUT YES PLEASE BUILD A CLEVOR!! I've read the Cleveland style heads since they're designed to run at 8k rpm for transam racing and that's where they make power actually work very well with boost and depending on the head they flow over 300cfm

Finding metal sux. Betting oil pump drive fail. Building the Clevor engine will be good content. Not a lot of 351 based content, and none on Cleveland/Boss based head stuff. Kind of tired of all the coyote stuff.
