Boss heads are big, but not the best.... But you already have them, so the price is right. 😁

If memory serves me correct, the 1969 and 1970 Mustang Boss 302 had cleveland heads, and worked very well in trans am racing!

No it didn't have Cleveland heads these heads were made for the Boss 302 and Ford adopted them onto the Cleveland a lot of people think that they used the Cleveland heads on the Boss but it was actually the opposite

Build the 427 clevor and put it in the early f100 with a stick like you talked about Sunday. That would be badass!!!

I pulled “football” rods out of an old oil bath 330 from a 69 f600. Currently using them as shelves for my F100 diecast trucks.

Hey good fellow. On Marketplace In Youngstown there is a caged 90 hatch missing doors, front fenders and hatch for 2600.00 Has billet specialties street lite wheels.

i told dave no reason we cant make 650-700+ crank on a pretty simple build with that. One of the few engines builds id actually put on a the engine dyno.

@Neomustangs just a ideal maybe do the cost difference between the 351 vs 427 before you start the build. That way it will give guys at home like myself a choice. Because I'm trying to follow this build but my car is a 89 sc I got for $50.

Sounds about like what I hear when I go to the machine shop lol. 6 351w rods eh? Sounds familiar. I ran a comp 230@50 in my 360 Mopar on street and it was snappy. That 240 with the extra cubes and good heads should do great.

If you need to hone the cylinders and flycut the pistons, perhaps consider boring it and put in some new budget pistons in it.

Nah no need. It worked well before. Why spend the $400 on boring and another $500 on budget pistons

The Boss heads would be good on top of a 427. Plenty of air for the big cubs.

Can't wait for the clevor build, I was hoping to see them on the 387 to see how much power they would make but 427 dart block is gonna be a bad boy as well with those heads. Are you going to put the tongues in the ports with the raised exhaust port plates that they make for them or are u running them as is ?

Cleavor! Big Boss 302. The best of both worlds. 7000rpm heads on a 7000rpm block. The engine Ford SHOULD HAVE produced and installed into their factory Musclecars. Mouse-motor cars would not be as popular today. Ford missed the boat on that one.

Flow those Boss heads and see if it’s worth it. Might not be enough for a 427, might be good on a budget 392..

Go big or go home. No replacement for displacement. Why not do a custom cam instead of an off the shelf cam thou?
