I hate when cables are exposed like those on Taff. have partially same thing on my GT. thinking to remove it, go full cable housing and just use zip ties to tie the cable housing to the frame. less dirt and other crap on cables, which in theory should lead to better shifting and less of maintenance. and next time my hair ends up in someone's meal, I'll just say its good for theirs immunity :D and great video, btw :)

Love the videos on the taff. quick question. Does your rear wheel/tire sit more to the brake side than cassettes side. Or is my taff tweaked somehow? I have more room on cassette side buy about 3/16” 🤔 I’ve looked at all sorts of possibilities
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS4 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, the Taff's rear tire is completely centered with my frame??? But if I were you I would take my rear wheel off and make sure, the spacers are on the outside of the frame on both sides of the axel, you should have two, one on each side, maybe one is missing or one is on the inside of the frame and one is on the outside.Good luck man and keep me updated:)
@popeyepuller4 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS so I didn’t see any sort of spacers. I had a bike shop change the rear wheel to a cassette style when I first got it and they put a quick release on it as well. After much consideration and eyeballing I used some persuasion and a 2x4 to align the rear of the frame. With the tire off you could clearly see the cassette side of frame was pushed in. so far only the cheap rear derailleurs have a barrel adjuster, beginners need all the adjustment they can, I guess is the thinking behind it. cus you don't need that much adjustment the shifter already has enough, and when that's not enough just turn barrel adjuster in and pull wire and tighten it, and fine tune it again. you should look into maintenance and components some more. or get enough sleep next time.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I prefer two, why not??? Doesnt make any sense to me, why not have another option to tune instead of short cutting, but its all good. No big deal:) and yes sleep!!!

i need help, i am thinking of selling my upgraded cube Analog 2020 and buy an x-caliber 7. what is your opinion?

Hey brother I'll check into that tonight, we don't have those brands here but I will see what's up tonight man!!thanks
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS4 жыл бұрын
Hey brother got a chance to check em out!!! They seem similar but the analog has a better drivetrain and the x caliber has a better geometry overall and has an air fork as opposed to a coil?? Pretty tough man pretty tough? I would buy the excaliber!!!! Let me know but that fork being what it is, is a top selling point for me.

We can't run tubeless on the GT or Taff because we do tire reviews and have to take off and put on tires often, and sometimes in a hurry. Maybe on the Fragment or Sandstorm though.

There is a tension screw on the shifter itself, then you can fine tune and adjust properly the shifting. And also there is another KZbinr who installed this same shifter and from AliExpress and had better results. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5yueoCfn9p4n7c
