Just to answer a FAQ - yes, Budget Bike Battle 5 is happening, but it's pretty tricky to do anything at the moment when things are shut and we can't travel. Thanks. Bye.

I absolutely love how, instead of telling us this information while sitting in a chair in front of the camera (which would be acceptable, nonetheless), you do so while riding these glorious machines from BBB. Just riding around and delivering the information we need simultaneously. It is so easily overlooked but this is one of the many reasons why you are the only 2-wheel content I consume. and, well, if other content providers do the same, I'll never know because it's 44T all day for me.

OK, I'm in. Nice to see them back! I have a 1998 Honda VFR800 Interceptor that I love ridding which 'actually' feels MUCH more "refined" than my 2006 FJR1300 'sport-touring' bike (yes, I know, I have "old bikes"). Bought the VFR800 8 years ago for $2300, put $1600 in suspension up-grades (CBR929 rear shock, cartridge fork emulators, Heli bars for better riding position). It is truly a fun bike to ride on the road (no track time)! Really guys, do a bang-up job. Not expensive, but "WELL DONE", REFINED,! Modern, Retro, Dyno for best performance, and "enjoy"! ... "NO HACK JOBS!!" Make them worth the time, effort, and fun that they should be and are!

It's interesting isn't it? I think it's a little like how most 90's early 2000's cars are going up in price. A lot seems to do with them being 'drivers' cars. Responsive, simple and having character. I think it's the same with bikes. The point where you don't actually know how much input you're having whilst driving due to over powere'd/Over tech'd vehicles removes some of that...fun maybe?

I'm really looking forward to this series. There is so much satisfaction in fixing and improving these era bikes, because the mods are obtainable, can be installed with spanners, and have immediate, real world noticeable and usable effects. Even if the end result is still no where near as fast as a stock 2020 bike, I'd take the modded analog bike 100% of the time

I've suffered with the black dog for most of my life & one thing I've learnt is to stop thinking of the same thing over & over, it doesn't resolve anything by pin pointing one thought to your mind, its unhealthy & it will rot your brain. I bought a ‘97 ZX-7R after watching the series, as I had already been already itching to get a second one by then and relive my long gone youth. It’s the same year and color as my original, red with purple wheels and tail. I put back the original silencer though, the Yoshimura RS3 is a bit too loud for my taste. The modifications so far are fully adjustable Hyperpro shock (with a purple spring no less) forks upgraded by HK using Andreani internals, (purple!) Samco radiator hoses, adjustable clip-ons from Probrake (for a little bit more comfort for my old bones) and a hugger. Next for the winter is Brembo radial RCS master cylinders for front brakes and clutch, as well as a spare upper fairing which I’ll try to cut a little bit to adjust the clip-ons a a bit more to make it feel better at lower speeds. I know I’m out of my damn mind, but I love this bike, so I’ve no problem spending money on it...

This was one of the best bike videos ever because: 1. It brought out the sheer fun of biking 2,. It proved something I have always been convinced of: the fun you have biking has little to do with how many gizmos and horsepower you have, which is why I have never upgraded my 999. I wouldn't have any more fun on something more recent and I'd lose my licence even faster trying. It is plenty fast enough, brakes properly, handles superbly. I rode a mate's SRAD once. It was superb. Very pretty bike. What more, in these gatso infested times do you really need? Looking forward to seeing these bikes restored to pristine sparklingness.

Great to see these two back on the road, the memories came flooding back! You simply can't beat taken it back to basics. No 200+bhp which you can't use on roads, wings that mean nothing on public roads, needing a PHD in starting the thing. The classics never die.

just a editing tip. EVEN if the recordings from gopro er 1080, set the project settings / sequenze settings to 2560 x 1440. So that the rendered/exported file is in that, being 1440p. Then KZbins encoding process will treat it with a VP9 codec, allowing the footage to look crisper and much less pixelated :). Hope this helps in the future. As long as any files resolution is 1080 or there under, you can be right clicking on the video image here in youtube, under "stats for geeks" see that the codec is avc1. VP9 is a lesser compressing codec. Since your video has already been compressed with a codec from your Editing software, another compression loses too much data. Love your videos btw :D ! This is just a tip from a longterm danish motovlogger, also longterm follower of both BvG and 44t
