Just wanted to say thank you for inspiring and teaching us fellow fabricators. After watching numerous of your videos i have personally learned so much. I try not to copy your exact designs because they are YOURS. But i definitely use your methods and add my own little twist in them to make them unique. Once again, thank you brother

So I just installed a bobber seat on a yamaha virago. the one I ordered didn't come with a plate to put the seat on. I was going to do what you did, as I actually had a roll of rubber. But then I took the leather and foam off th old seat, and used the inside plastic ic piece as the plate. And it worked beautifully. keep your wheels on the road, folks!

Thanks man, and keep up the good work. I honestly believe that if I could afford spending the ammount of money they asked me for brand new carburators (they were the issue, they were FUBAR and the least expensive price I could find was around 600 american dollars + shipment to Italy and customs fees...) she could have gone another 25 years no sweat, but it was more than I was willing to spend for a bike that old and got a new one in the end.

Nice looking bike. Just a suggestion though as I am doing my own bike build. Have you considered reusing holes that are already there? Such as the strut mount hole for your seat and the turn signals holes for your sissy bar? Would help to make the look cleaner and simpler. Right?
@iRidetas6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You build your bike how you want to mate! I concidered the bang for buck of each move i made and am happy with th ed result. I wanted to use the indicator holes for the indicators but the sissy bar wouldnt line up to them as it came off a sportster and what you see in the sissybar video, thats how i got it to fit on an xv250. The seat bracket uses the standard seat screw mounts, so i was happy with that. You could fill the holes with weld if you wanted to if your worried about extra holes. etc. But i didnt want to repaint the bike and it doesnt worry me if its a bit ratty as it is a very low value bike and build! Cheers
