I had Cava most of the time when I was in Spain. I like Blanc de Noir and it is hard to find a Blanc de Noirs Champagne. I’ll take Franciacorta as my alternative sparkling wine from Champagne. You can find some under $30 that are delicious.

Yes! Franciacorta is another great affordable Champagne alternative. For Blanc de Noirs, I think your best bet are grower champagnes (perhaps from vallée de la marne). And someone else recommended this and I haven't tried them yet but I've seen them is Gruet. They have a Blanc de Noir that has gotten good reviews.

Look for demi-sec on the label that means it will be sweeter

@@sherrymoore687If you’re looking for sweetness make sure to get a bottle that says Extra Dry (I know it’s counterintuitive, it’s on the sweeter side, a lot of Prosecco falls into this category) , Sec, Demi Sec or Doux.
