The drama before the dyno! In our last video we installed upgraded parts on our K24A4 in an attempt to make more power and we showed the result at the dyno. However in between making the upgrades and seeing if they made power there was Brian's side mission. You see Budget EG K was running like crap ever since the recent modifications and we could not take it to the dyno to get tuned running like that. So in the last two days before our deadline Brian tries to troubleshoot our engines issues.

I replaced my camshafts with a set of Skunk2's and locking the VTC cam was never a thought when installing and always had a rattle on every start-up. I diagnosed that problem for months with no answers until Soichiro Honda came to me in a dream and shined a light on the road to peace....then I found an online forum that solved my problems

I had this same problem after replacing my vtc gear, thanks to you I fixed it today. So crazy to think a brand new oem part would have an issue like this. I own you for this.

Isn't there a process to check (set) the VTC in the correct (unlocked) position before bolting it in?

Hey ive got a question do you know if a 2005 rsx harness and a 05 converted kpro with jumper harness will work in a eg swap?

Why does the k24 have issues present itself with the vtc cam gear more earlier than the k20. Almost 60000-100000mile difference.

They are not the same part. So that may explain it. But, I'm not aware that there is an earlier failure rate for the 25° VTCs. Is this something in a Honda service bulletin?

You were. the stuck VTC resulted in the cam degree problem.
