Hey. I've never used DSLR's before and I'm thinking about buying this one, but it's around 240 euro's for me. Would you reckon that to be worth it? Or should I buy another DSLR? EDIT: Just saw that the 550D is available near new for 276,- worth it or not?

Sorry for the late answer. I don't where do you live, but in the EU and USA 240euro is too much for it. The 550D is a better value at 270e, but it also seems a bit much.

No, I think it's awesome for learning photography! Make sure you get an EF 50mm 1.8 II with it. Unbeatable starting combo!

You have two options. Buy something with stabiliser - The 18-55 IS II, or IS STM is fine. Or buy a fast prime if your room is not bright or if you want shallow depth of field effects - the EF 50mm f/1.8 II is great for that.
