I love that floor mat. I would take it and draw it out on some paper, and make a copy of it and make some rubber mats to match it and then place it in other places to have more mats that match.

Great doable projects. For the cool drinks... Make limeade ahead or buy it, then freeze in icecube trays. This keeps the flavors strong and like regular ice, won't dilute the taste or texture. You can also freeze the cream ahead too. Once the warm weather hits I freeze coffee and tea cubes for the same reasons. Delicious, easy and always in ziplock freezer bags, ready to go. Thanks for sharing all these great spruce up the patio ideas. 👍🏻🇺🇸

I wouldn't attempt to paint my own house outside, and I've been stalling doing it inside for more than 7 years since I moved in because I just don't like to paint! I'm not handy either, and don't even think about trying to make my own screens, etc. But a few years back I got tired of looking at my ugly central AC compressor outside so I bought a 3-sided screen to fit around it, and it makes such a difference in the appearance of the garden bed where that unit is located - love it! I also bought some shutters a few years back to add some pizzazz to the front of my house, and they make such a difference. I love your ideas. They may be "tried and true" but they're "tried and true" because they WORK to help greatly step up curb (or backyard) appeal. I also loved hearing that Mr. Robin singing his mating song in the background throughout the video!

What a great space to dream in! I love the shutters and screen doors! Idea: take off the storm windows under the overhang. You probably don’t need them there due to the roof line. And another idea, have your husband build a movable lattice door/box to disguise the utilities boxes on the exterior of the house by the air cond unit:) I love all your videos and enjoy seeing when you post new ones! everything looks fantastic I would done different if it was my Buffet I would put wheels on it that locked down so you can lock it so it doesn't move but you unlock it to let it move that helps the wood to say good away from rain or whatever gets on the patio that way you can move it and clean behind it l Great job

I would have painted the aluminum part of your windows, white or black, then framed them with wide wood around. Also, a simple white wash on your brick would have changed the look with your shutters, very pretty green.

I’m sure you have already gotten rid of your storm doors, but I will suggest anyway. The glass on those kinds of doors make great covers for cold frames, if your interested in gardening. Lettuces, radishes and turnip greens all love cold frames in the spring , fall and even in the winter , in many areas. I have actually seen a small greenhouse built with old storm doors! They are quite a resource. Your husband probably comes across many that are being changed out, in his work. I wonder how a English garden would be decorated? Your remake is quite lively!

Good afternoon, Miss Shirley! Thanks for the tip on the storm door glass. We both enjoy gardening and hope to do more this next spring. We'd love to have a greenhouse! In English gardens I've seen statues, urn shaped pots, stone spheres, wrought iron gates, stone or brick pathways, and benches. I hope that helps! Glad you enjoyed the makeover. I love the new lamps painted black. Another refresh would be to paint the cement patio floor. If you have Ollie’s or Home Goods, they have lots of carpets there.
