Love both sounds bud. Gun to head I'm a Voxy guy I suppose.

I really like the British sound, if I get it I'd have it set up close to a plexi/bluesbreaker tone as a base tone. The American sounds really good too though.
@BudgetPedalChap2 жыл бұрын
@@Inspector-71 considering how affordable they are, it's not crazy money to own both. I've got the AC tone in recently too so keep watching back for when I demo that one too 👍

Which cab sim impulse did you use. That really did fatten up the tone and break the edges at the same time
@BudgetPedalChap Жыл бұрын
@@RobertMurphy-wm3ge I can't remember exactly but I've used multiple different IRs and they all serve to fatten it up. The wall of sound dynaIRs are great for this

I'm torn between the British and the AC tone. I see a lot of comments saying just get both, but these things though considered as a budget pedal aren't cheap for someone like me who's in a 3rd world country 🤦🏽♂️
@BudgetPedalChap9 ай бұрын
The AC will do a cleaner tone so you'll get more of a spectrum of drive tones. The British doesn't go clean pretty much at all, but will give you that classic rock growl. It depends what you are after but both sound great so I'm sure you'd be happy with either 👍

Great video, dude! I hope you're well. I love this pedal. I also have the California Sound - both very different pedals (as youd expect) but equally enjoyable.

I had a Cali sound a while back but ended up selling it as I preferred the American and British ones more. I might have to pick one up again to see what it's like and maybe get a demo shot too. Thanks for the kind words 👍

Ah cheer, your are very kind. I did have the AC tone and the California sound at some point too, but I got rid as I just weren't using them. They are all fab pedals and punch way above their price.

Cheers for the kind words. I think these Joyo amp sim pedals are absolutely brilliant, well worth the price 👍

I actually much prefer it without the IR. Sounds a bit more raw than a real cab probably would, but the double cab sims kind of make it too muffled in my opinion. Like I said in another comment, a toggle would be amazing if they ever do a V2 version of this pedal. You could plug it into the front of an amp as overdrive, or the poweramp of an amp to use the pedal as a re-amp, use your own custom IRs on a vst. It would make it a lot more versatile, for probably not much more cost. I just got mine today. Joyo kindly refunded a mini-amp I bought because I had trouble using pedals with it (way more noise than any other amp I've used), and they let me keep the amp, but refunded it completely, so I basically got the briitsh sound pedal for £7! One weird thing I noticed, is that if I turn up the gain and level all the way, I can pick up radio signals and can hear people talking and occasionally music coming from it faintly. Does yours do this, too? When I push the gain past 9 o' clock, a lot white noise gets introduced. Not typical grounding hum, but white noise and faint radio signal.
@BudgetPedalChap10 ай бұрын
I've never noticed a radio signal, that's a new one for me. It does get a bit noisy when you push the gain on it, it's not the worst in the series though as the Oxford is really noisy.

impressive pedal, very versatile. It seems to be a mid-range gain not too high distorted. Can you use this for metal types of riffs?
@BudgetPedalChap2 жыл бұрын
I think for old school metal it would be great suited, but playing with the EQ just right you could get a decent scooped tone out of it. It takes pedals really well too 👍

@@BudgetPedalChap thanks, it's a great demo. you have dialed so many great tones with this pedal. like I say it's a versatile one.

Sounds good, but I wish they cloned the newer version of the tech21 british, with the cab toggle. But you can't complain for the price.
@BudgetPedalChap10 ай бұрын
That would be great. There are mod guides online but it seems pretty tricky. As you say, for the price it's hard to beat

How did you get the intro tone? :)
@BudgetPedalChap Жыл бұрын
Depends which bit you're talking about? The rhythm guitar was done using the joyo British with with a joyo vintage phase before it. The lead was probably still the British but going into an amp sim after I'd recorded it to push the gain a bit more 👍
