Very underrated!! Awesome band! They weren't like Dedp Purple or Black Sabbath because they didn't have lunatics like Richie Blackmore or Ozzy Osbourne causing controversy by doing stupid things at their shows and getting into trouble for being drunk and disorderly, smashing hotel rooms and having drug and alcohol fuelled orgies !! Budgie, like RUSH loved playing their music without having the sex ,drugs, rock 'n' roll stigma attached to them . Besides they were a band ahead of their time,a decade too early to be appreciated by like minded fans !! They will always be one of my top favourites along with Blue Oyster Cult,ELO, RUSH and Patty Smith!! All classics from the '70's !! You cannot match the talent of these bands in our present time!! RIP to the legends that have passed away and leaving their everlasting legacy behind!!! Thankyou for many, many years of listening pleasure!! Best regards from ANI, formerly of Drummoyne, Sydney Australia now a traveling free spirit !!!.....ps,Hi to CON A.

@@aniburns329 I like your comment and so very true about the image of many big bands of the 70s. I met Burke shelley on two occasions. I met him at the 25year convention in Cardiff capital Hotel in 1995. He was a lovely guy. Very polite and great to conversation with. The whole band, past and present members were all in attendance. It was a great night. Ray Phillips, budgies first drummer played at my rock club after his split from budgie. My club was the 361 rock n blues club. Ray had his son Justin on lead guitar and Tom Prince on bass. Great days in rock! Great memories as well.
