Our budgie was completely codependent on her mirror when we rescued her. I felt terrible removing it but she turned around in a few weeks and we got her a friend!

I broke the mirror habit with my late budgies when they were able to see me in the mirror with them. They ended up figuring it out it was themselves after seeing me in the reflection too.😂

We let our budgie out every day. She interacts with us and goes back to her cage at sunset. She does have a mirror but, not attached to it. I clean it every day. She really enjoys these videos and hearing other birds.

I have one budgie and give it a mirror. He loves the mirror SO much! He talks to it everyday and used to even try to feed it. He even tries to protect it from me when I go near it 😂 but I don't know if I should get rid of it or convince my mum for another bird. What do you think Alen AxP?

Get rid of your mirror. My bird did that and when I got rid of it mine got way more kind and I tamed him right after I took it out.

U should take the mirror away. If its alone, give it some time to get used to you. After it becomes friends with you, maybe buy another budgie so it can breed or either not be alone in its cage. I am not saying u should, but thats how my budgies are best mates with me :)

I have 2 new budgies, brand new to the house about 5 days in here. They get super scared and fly around the cage I put my hands in, and won't eat anything but seed as I assume they don't know they things I put them is food. Thankfully the seeds are full of vitamins and minirals. Does anyone have an tips on how I can tame them and when I can let them out of the cage? Or how to get them to eat the food? So far I just left it there so they hopefully get curious and chew on it. But can anyone help? They also don't interact with toys or new things I put in the cage for them is it because they r still settling in?

Hey Alen... I need advice. I've had my two budgies(not even four months) for a bit now. And the only time they have been out is only three times. One is kinda shy and rather be in the cage than out. I'm afraid of taking them out and need some straight up advice. If anyone could help me please please do. I love them so much and just feel so bad keeping them in for my selfish ways 💔 Edit: I Gave my babies away today, to an old family friend and the look on her kids faces were priceless. I'm gonna miss them but they'll be happy now!

Toga Himiko Hello, I know I'm kinda late on this comment but if you should get new budgies anytime soon here is some advice: You should let them out when they eat and drink properly and know where there food is in the cage. If you let them out they should go back to there cage when they're hungry/thirsty,, If they do not return by themselves, try putting some of their favourite food on top of the cage or try to lure them with some millet back into their cage!!:) (That's how I do it) Also it might be better to tame them a little bit so they're not that scared of you when you try to lure them back into the cage ^^ Hope I could help you, even though you gave them away,,, Have a good day!!^~^

I have I mirror but I also have 4 budgies and they dont look that the mirror as if it's a other budgie. The mirror looks like the one cookie has in his cage and since its has edge my budgie rub his head on it. Most of the of the time my female budgie likes to sit on the perch the mirror has. And then the male comes and starts Flirting with the female and never the mirror. Plus even if I take it out to clean it they won't fallow it unlike a budgie who would are obsessed with it. So really my budgies understand what real and what's fake and they understand that the mirror is just a reflection of them.

mirrors are very bad for them. it can cause aggression, masturbation to the mirror, egg laying(that can cause calcium deficiency) , and many more. There are many more reasons that they are bad than good.

Your budgie is healthy but may be going through molt,he will be mellow and not move mutch but he will then begin to play alot more, the green poop is from seeds.i don't know about the liver though...

Never had a problem with the mirror. If anything it saved me when I had a single female. Now I have a flock of 6, maybe more since I have now a confirmed Mating Pair between a Male Dominate Yellow and a Female Recessive Pied I think the mirror one of the thousands of controversy amongst the Avian Community, along side rope toys, wooden toys, diets, caging space, etc.
