SINCE THAT TIME I ALWAYS KEPT SAYING TO EVERYONE-"ONE DAY , YOU WILL SEE, THY ARE GONNA BE HUGE NAME IN THE WORLD`S MUSIC INDUSTRY!!! 100% MY GUARANTEE! BY THE WAY, MY FIRST SONG FROM THEM WAS "PARENTS" BEAUTIFUL , JUST BEAUTIFUL! I KNEW THEY GONNA BE SUCCESFUL BAND! A LITTLE TO LATE! UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE FROM WALES ...! EVEN THEY SAIDBTHE SAME THING AS ME! NO NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY? BECAUSE-EVEN FOR EXAMPLE THEIR EP ALBUM`S TITLE SAYS IT ALL("IF I`VE WERE B++++++..... RULES!) TRUE, MR. BURKE SHLLEY(R.I.P.) SAID THE SAME. I WILL COME BACK ANOTHER TIME TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS WITH OTHERS ABOUT MY NUMBER ONE BAND EVER!!! THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING OF MY EPIC REVIEW REGARDING BUDGIE BY THE WAY, MY BEST ONE ALBUM FROM THE GROUP WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE _"BUDGIE ONE FROM 1971. A "MASTERPIECE!" I HAD IT ON VINYL , BACK IN POLAND IN 80TIES, VINYL HERE AS WELL, IN STATES, BOTH LOST SOMEHOW( THE FIRST ONE I BELIEVE RELEASED BY DECCA, I THINK! IT WAS, BOTH ALBUMS GONE NOW! STILL KEEP IT ON CD ! ANYWAY, "LOVE OF MY LIFE- BUDGIE!" MY HIGHIEST RESPECT TO THM! THANK YOU VERY MUCH BUDGIE AND THE REST OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN BUDGIE`S EXISTANCE! THEY ALSO DESSEVE A MEDAL JUST LIKE THE BAND ITSELF! I ALREADY GOT MINE! ( SOME HUMOR ALWAYS WELCOME GUYS!) REGARDS, THOMAS(POLAND-CHICAGO) TO BE CONTINUE ..!

We, Belgians, have a connection with the Welsh. Not so much in language but more in Blood. When Julius Caesar chased us from our grounds back in 55 BC, a lot of "us" fled to Britanny in France and then crossed the channel to arrive in England. Engel Land. Land of the Angels. Coming from French Brittony and seeing the lands we arrived at were the same as in France, we called it "the Greater Brittony" or, hey, Great Brittan. Towns like Brighton were originally Belgian settlements. Anyway, I saw Budgie three years in a row at the Reading Rock Festival. 1980, 1981 and 1982. Best three-piece band I ever saw and heard, despite Motorhead and ZZ-top.

My favourite track of theirs. To be honest, this is the best video and audio combination I've seen of them since I saw them twice live at the end of the seventies. I should have seen them a third time in St Albans in1980 as they were on equal billing with Ozzy, on his first tour, promoting the " Blizzard of Ozz" album. Unfortunately Burke had laryngitis and they didn't perform. At least I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhoads.

Underrated is a term often used by fifteen year old kids who have just discovered an existing legend but it really applies the truly great rock band Budgie. My first live band at The Greyhound, Croydon. Sunday, 25th April 1976 and still have Never Turn Your Back on a Friend, In For the Kill and Bandolier on vinyl. Up there with the very best.
