Melancholic song about dreary 1980s. * I changed from "Marabu bus" to "Arab bus" because that is how it is on the official website of Budka Suflera: www.budkasuflera.pl/tekst,jolka-jolka-pamietasz.html But I will try to contact Mr. Dudkiewicz and ask at the source :) I leave this footnote: "Marab" was the name of a transport company that organized coach trips to Western Europe in the 1980s! English: Jolka, Jolka, do you remember that summer of dreams, When you kept writing: “I feel so bad Come to me even right now, do something with me, Don’t leave me here alone, oh no." Still begging for petrol, I raced through the night, The engine groaned with the last of its strength, To be in you again, to laugh and to swear, Everything was so simple those days. A child slept behind the wall, watchful as a bird, May God sweeten his dreams! You told me that never, never before Have your tears been as sweet as blood. In the morning I emigrated away from your arms, The day drove me out, at night I returned once again. The eclipse of the sun was destined for us, The next one will happen, maybe in a hundred years. The nuns walked along the beach, and the sun going down, It kept falling, unable to fall. Your husband out in the world saved up every pound, For a Toyota, so beautiful, it's sad. Your husband loved order and a full glass, He once had a fiancée like a dream, She betrayed him with a bus full of Arabs, He was never himself again, oh no. In the morning I emigrated away from your arms, The day drove me out, at night I returned once again. The eclipse of the sun was destined for us, The next one will happen, maybe in a hundred years. We lived in a big bathtub and so rarely We crawled out onto the dry land, The Fairy Booze Godmother danced within us, Shooting gallery* was two steps away. I still don't know why it started like that, Why it faded - no one knows either, There are still many around me, I don't wake up alone, But nothing is simple these days. * depending on interpretation, meaning "shooting gallery" is a place where one can purchase alcohol illegally or in polish meta meaning "the finish line". Lyrics: Marek Dutkiewicz Music: Romuald Lipko Year of release: 1982 Original performers: Budka Suflera (1982) Translation: tekstowo.pl

This is one of those legendary songs, the text of which probably knows every Polish people :) wonderful, melancholic, sentimental song made of dreams :) and Woodstock (now called the Pol'and'Rock Festival) is the largest festival in Europe, which is attended by about several hundred thousand people from Poland and all around the world every year.

Please react to one of these few covers by *Piotr Cugowski* In my opinion he's one of the best and maybe even the best male vocalist in Poland ❤️ And in this video he's this guy with long hair in 6:07 1. "Bracia, Krzysztof Cugowski i Sound'n'Grace - I Want To Know What Love Is (Gala 25 lat RMF FM)" (here he sings with his father and brother - who's also guitarist) 2. "Tipsy Train & Piotr Cugowski "Perfect Strangers" (Deep Purple) - live" 3. "Tipsy Train & Piotr Cugowski - "Love ain't no stranger" (Whitesnake) - live" 4. "Bracia & Adam Sztaba Orchestra - "Show Must Go On" (orch. Adam Sztaba)" 5. "Piotr Cugowski Diana Ciecierska Simply The Best" 6. "Piotr Cugowski & Michał Szpak & Dawid Kwiatkowski The Show Must Go On" - here you can see, how much Piotr overshadow 5 persons! 7. "Bracia - Dziwny jest ten świat ("Solidarność - to znaczy jeden i drugi")" 8. "PIOTR CUGOWSKI - PŁONIE STODOŁA z góralami" 9. "Jednego Serca - Piotr Cugowski" 10. "Piotr Cugowski - Nothing Else Matters"

Budka Suflera officially exists since 1974. The band had several lead and backing singers. Felicjan Andrzejczak (the guy with the amazing voice singing this song was a member of the band from 1982-83). The singer who performed in the band the longest (he left several times) is Krzysztof Cugowski.
