I love this beer. I love Czech beer full stop. Both Budvar and Staropramen are amongst my favourite beers. Why anyone would choose to drink crap like Carling, Carlsberg, Fosters or the American Budweiser too for that matter, rather than wonderful beers like this, is beyond me. Yes, I know there's a price difference, but I'd still always justify paying the extra. I would rather go without beer than spend my hard earned on an inferior product.

It’s in Lidl at the moment the keg is so much different to the bottle try it. I guarantee you’ll taste the difference the lower carbonation makes you appreciate the subtle tones lovely

Not many pubs have this on draft. Went to a pub called the Little Hop in Swindon at Christmas. Fire going, great atmosphere. Was a lovely 8 pints. Lol

In Sweden it's fairly common. At least in Gothenburg. You can get it fresh too at some places.

In the states this is available under the name Czechvar. I’m sure it won’t be as fresh as what Simon got, but still a great beer.

I can get cans of budvar from the corner shop not 20 seconds from my house. For me, it is my “go-to” beer if I have nothing craft kicking about or in the PD

Believe me, poured on gravity from one of these minikegs, Budvar is unbelievably delicious and smooth. Closest you can get in the UK to a Czech pour.
