Proper lager is made with just four ingredients - water, malt, hops and yeast. But we believe Budweiser Budvar has a special extra ingredient: time.
When it comes to making Budvar, we never rush. Our brewing process is complex and slow, then we transfer the beer to the cold cellars below our brewery in České Budějovice for long, gentle maturing - which is months more than most lagers.
And it doesn’t end there. At the bar, our seasoned beertenders take their time over every glassful of Budvar, ensuring the foam is rich and aromatic and the lager is lightly sparkling and flavourful.
It’s what makes our incredible Czech lager taste so special. Every time.
