What do you do for health insurance when traveling? I think that would be a good subject to discuss.

Hey! Great question! - Right now, we have Safety Wing for both Travel and Health Insurance. It is only an emergency type of insurance. --- For regular doctors visits, we tend to just go to a local doctor in the the country we're in. Since we know Spanish, it's been easy to book appointments for more specific things or blood tests, etc... We're also considered very healthy people. So, we don't need medical attention as much as others might. --- Is there a more specific question you're interested in know about?

@@lifetheorycoupleYou answered my question as far as for emergency medical care. My insurance here in US doesn’t cover medical care directly abroad; I have to pay out of pocket, then submit a claim to get reimbursed 😂

If you go to the not so popular areas of Buenos Aires, it would be a little less expensive. But we were right in the middle of an upper mid-class area with lot of food options and activity. So, it could be more affordable depending on your willingness to scale back on area or luxuries in the area.

This is likely true. We did use Airbnb. So, if 1,200 USD is how much we spent in a month... Rent is easily close to half that number I would assume, if you were a true resident. This is the same in Colombia, where we lived for 2 years straight across several cities. We found places where it was 600 or 800 per a month, USD... But we knew the real value a given local would pay was more like 300 - 400 USD through some basic research. Considering we're used to paying about 1,500 USD in Dallas, TX for rent... It's all a discount to us.

EXACTLY! - We were a little surprised that it just felt about the same as other cities. Especially the main tourist areas... But, I think that is expected. I'm sure you can find other deals that would make the experience more affordable. But we did not find it cheap, which I believe is something other think.
