Love the Buffalo content! It’s nice to have some details of the case…unbelievably, this case does not get a ton of press here in Buffalo…which is kind of surprising to me. Usually just a minute or 2 on the local news and that’s it. Keep up the good work!

@ Thats crazy! I don’t understand…you would think with this being a juicy story, with all the twists and turns this case has taken, you would think the local press would be all about it. From it being an organized crime case, with LCN and the Outlaws MC being tied to the case, dead witnesses and a judge “suicide” (two attempts no less)….its so bizarre with the minimal local coverage.

My friends sister worked for La Nova back in the 80s and she said he was an incredibly nice man but he demanded perfection. He always told her to take pride in whatever she was doing. I used to stop at La Nova at least twice a week walking home from school. Always got a slice and was told to study harder. I know my friends dad was in the club, he was a cement plant manager, one who wore $200.00 shoes to work. My dad grew up with Meyer Lansky and Ben Siegel and knew all those guys in Murder Incorporated. He dated Meyer Lansky's sister for 2 years and she wanted to marry him. Been to Pharoh's when it was open, wasn't impressed, food was good though.

Great story my friend. I stop by La Nova everytime I am in Buffalo which used to be more frequently. Big Joe is a super good personable man of honor and I talk to him whenever I get a chance whether it be at Bills games or in the restaurant on West Ferry. I get a kick out of him when how he talks to his delivery drivers.

Interesting that the FBI has been pursuing the Todaro's for almost 50 years (and probably longer), and has never laid a glove on the padre and have yet to ruffle even a hair on Junior's slicked back fade coiffure of golden gray locks! So either they're innocent and unjustly vilified and persecuted OR they and specifically Joe Junior is a careful and well insulated smooth operator of a low key high level crook....

Stefano Maggadino ran Buffalo back in the 50's and 60's. Him and Joe Bonnano were blood relatives. They had a crew in my town. Not that far from Buffalo.

I used to work with Joe Bongiovanni at a restaurant. Good guy. I’d be surprised if he did anything that’s really illegal. No doubt he knows those guys. Sanfratello was killed coming out of that restaurant on Rhode Island St next to the fire station just down from Essex St Pub, I think. Can’t think of the name of the place. Rosemont or Rose something.

When you have a codefendant but the case is split up then you know you are being told on… stay by yourself if you gonna do anything that could get you incarcerated because you can’t be told on alone. And don’t go committing crimes if you gonna tell like a coward to save your own ass and freedom in exchange for your friends’ freedom!
