In the 1950's my Grandfather ran the Merry-Go_Round and my Grandmother ran the Hoopla stand. They lived on Crescent Road East and I spent much of summers there. Crystal Beach was magic to me.

Those were the days when my mothers cousin had a cottage on crystal beach I would stay there with them during summer vacation they would take me on the rides every night back then you could ride on all the rides for 5 cent tickets for the whole day in to the evening. Kids to day will never have the experience we had growing up. So sad! PS. I'm 74 now and will never forget the good times I had in the 50s/60s at all the parks Canada and Erie county, NY.🤗
