Seems like he had a ditty in his head and thought he could play it on his whistle. He was probably confused when it kept coming out with the same note, though. Give him credit for being persistent, I guess.

Have you ever watched a hockey game before? The linesmen break up the players and the refs watch to get numbers to give out the penalties

Hughes and Garland were getting smashed down all game by the dirty sabres. The referees didn't call anything. The Canucks kept to their disciplined game and the sabres were the ones getting smashed down where it counts. Go Canucks!

Two sabres defenseman left the game from blindside headshots. But yea, a bunch of legal and routine hits on hughes and greenway lightly pushing him to the ground in a routine scrum is soooooo dirty. Little Benson was getting worked over multiple times, did you see him crying? The hypocrisy and selective vision of you people is astounding!

Lost in all of this was the Greenway late hit, and subsequent cut under the eye, on Lafferty after the gwg that started everything.

I read an article that said the refs were unfair in this game against Buffalo but they didn't share any clips, which makes me think it's some butt hurt fan. Like one Buffalo player throws Hughes to the ice, and why? Just to get the Canucks even more riled up? Previous seasons you could get away with that and the Canucks would do nothing, but this season I wouldn't press it. These guys will fight for each other and buffalo would not fare well in that department.

I don’t think they were unfair to only the sabres, they let a lot go that they shouldn’t have. Started with the goal by lafferty, greenway should’ve been booked for the cheap shot after the goal. Then the physicality escalated from there.

@@bentonszylowski1891actually it picked up after samuelsson was headshot and left the game and is now out with a concussion. That was well before greenways little bump on lafferty on a bang-bang play unlike millers hit on dahlin which was much more avoidable and happened with far more speed and ferocity and time to assess the play and make a decision…

The Canucks seriously need a go-ro tough guy for the playoffs. Matt Martin, Liam O’Brien, Luke Schenn type guy who can keep the opposition honest. Take a shot at Petey or Hughes? Your talent gets a shot.

@@kenzandana4791 bahahahaha! Has zadorov ever even won a fight before??? He throws some of the most awkward and weird pillow punches ever. He has no idea how to properly throw a punch! His mechanics are horrendous! Amazing hitter but EVERYONE knows he is a horrendous fighter. You must be new to hockey to say something that is so hilariously wrong in the hockey world 😂

Whining Buf fans! Screaming murder on JT's hit on Dhalin. CLean! He did not leave his feet, raise his elbow, and when you look at Miller contacting Dhalin, JT is actually on the puck and not focusing on Dhalin. Furthermore, Dhalin was leaning forward for the puck making his headmuch more exposed to the bicep area. Clean! Reviewed a gazillion times by Toronto and the refs. .I'm surprised he got any penalty at all.

Ref managed to screw this up too. If you Give those two penalties then you have to send benson and hughes too or send nobody.

I found him just blowing his whistle time and again hilarious. I go back to the Forum days in Vancouver when the Canucks were in the WHL. And yes, if the fracas was big enough, refs lent a hand.

I noticed the Sabres only did the post whistle stuff when Hughes was on the ice. I wish they would have done that when Zadorov, Cole, Myers, Soucy were clearing the front of the net
