You can see just how sad Brandon is while eating super unhealthy. He just seems.....sad the entire day. Meanwhile Hudson is having a great time putting all his healthy meals together, hanging with his kids. I don't know if the mood was by design or just a natural reaction to being this unhealthy. But dang, I can feel the difference emotionally.

it's just what happens when you eat healthy for so long, eating garbage makes you feel like garbage. it's worse when you're a healthy person, Because you know what feeling great feels like. I have the same issue, whenever I eat a donut, I usually don't feel too good after.

Honestly, as someone whose been struggling for a little with their weight. I can 100% feel what he is feeling. Healthy eating feels amazing, while some of the meals i eat at times that are unhealthy make me feel like shit, but I always end up eating more of them.

Was gonna comment exactly this. You can clearly see the pain in the way he talks and even in his stare. This ain't no cheat day, this wasn't indulging in foods with morbid quantities of calories yet still enjoying em because they're tasty, this was just aiming for some of the worst things that you can eat in a convenient way. But it really goes to show how much healthier meals can change your predisposition to life.

Speaking as someone who used to live on a diet like that: it's all habit. It took me about two years to get where I'm at now and, as I'm sitting here eating an egg white and spinach scramble with protein oatmeal, I can say first hand that I literally CAN'T go back to eating like that. Much like Brandon, I get sick as fucking hell if I try to eat like I used to.

@@aayush_shres I can actually answer that funny enough. "Fat" Buddha is not Siddhartha. Fat Buddha or, more accurately, the 'Happy Buddha' or 'Laughing Buddha' (depending on who you ask) is a bodhisattva known as Budai. While he's technically based on a historical monk, he's revered as a maitreya, or a future Buddha to be. So, in short, Siddhartha already achieved enlightenment and escaped samsara. The fat Buddha that you see represented nowadays is supposed to be the next Buddha that will come to be.

This was very enjoyable to watch due to the split screen editing. I'm most excited about the productive lifestyle comparison. There are two ways you guys could approach it: - One displays the more complacent schedule, whereas the other follows a more purposeful routine. - One could follow the routine of a productive morning person, while the other tries the lifestyle of a healthily performing night owl. You might both do the exact same things for the exact amounts of time; the key difference here is WHEN (and how it affects each of you). For example: 6 AM - 10 PM vs 10 AM - 2 AM Hope you guys like the idea. Big fan since 2015!

Thanks to you guys keeping it fun and interesting I’m 2 weeks into eating healthier and keeping my caloric intake at a slight deficit while going through your cutting book. I’m enjoying going into the gym and cannot wait to get in the gym at work which is all new to me. I used to be so unmotivated to go work out despite my job making it a requirement to PT an hour each shift. My only problem I’m having so far is trying to stay at the caloric in take I’m looking for. Keep those recipes coming ‘cause I’m gonna have to start trying out some of yours instead of my basic options I’ve done on my own.

@Kevlaren
@Kevlaren 3 жыл бұрын
Actually calories equal a healthy diet usually gets you going to the toilet more. Because healthy food is full of fiber which is basically unabsorbable "mass" that fills your colon. While sugary foods are almost 100% absorbable. But of course your stool is better with the healthy stuff.
@paomndz8336
@paomndz8336 3 жыл бұрын
Probably not. Were not sure if those unhealthy foods have any fibers hence little to no toilet. It will be stored as fats if not used and regulated for the following day. Its really easy to add up those calories especially if you do it everyday.
@fieryelf
@fieryelf 3 жыл бұрын
@@Kevlaren Actually, a diet high in fiber is probably one of the most unhealthy thing for you. The few studies that made those sayings popular were made back in the 70s by Quaker and Kellogg. I prefer to go Low Carb personally. My poop looks magnificent too :)
@Kevlaren
@Kevlaren 3 жыл бұрын
@@fieryelf there’s not just studies from the 70s that say vegetables are good for you...... I’m not saying eat cereal and grains all day for fiber but there are tons of fiber in vegetables and fruit. You’re basically denying 80% of the science if you think that is the most unhealthy diet. And focusing on the 20% that say it’s plausible that carbs can do some harm. Like Dr. Mike Isratel says, a diet that gets you out of obesety is the most healthy diet. If that is keto your health will improve. But your health would be even better if it gets you to 18% body fat AND you eat healthy foods like fruit, vegetables, lean meat, good fat sources like fish, olive oil, avocado etc.

I really like the video and the idea behind it. I know for me, it's been more difficult to continue eating as healthy as I used to and have slowly slipped into eating less healthy. I have a great roommate, but she loves to bake treats and sweets all of the time, and now that we both work from home, she makes these more often. I tried to turn down the offers but it seemed to bum her out a lot, so I started having a little each time. Now, it is at the point where I eat about 60% of whatever it is, because she gets tired of it and don't want it anymore. So obviously, the diet is not so good at times. She also cooks some traditional Asian dishes too, which are much healthier, so it isn't all bad, but more than I used to. I wonder what advice you and the great community here could give on this. She's a great person and a great roommate (plus, I do not want to destroy this living arrangement, since all else is as close to perfect as one can get in this type of situation!). I appreciate any and all in advance. My suggestions would be 1. a planned diet vs non-planned diet (touched on in this video, and the benefits of actually sticking to the list) 2. a high carb diet vs a high fat diet (so folks can see and hear a list of each, so planning their own is better) 3. multiple, small training sessions throughout the day vs one long session, a few times per week (energy costs and consistency) (not really a split screen type, but one that could talk about the advantages of training consistency and various ways for folks that have ran into problems continuing their training or have quit and needing to get back into it. Especially since when an individual quits, it seems so much harder for him/her to get back into it when there's other things they seem interested in doing instead.)

Just found you guys and loving the videos. I like how ya'll do an apples to apples comparison like healthy waffles vs unhealthy waffles and cheap tuna meal vs expensive tuna meal. I think it'd be awesome if when you were doing split screen challenges you take a moment and do a side by side comparison of total calories and macro breakdown as well as each individual item.

@@jdsweets basically yes, they did eat allot of fish, vegetables and berries, and any wild life the would hunt, they also only ate twice a day, once at breakfast, (Dagmat) and once at night (Nattmat) And because of the harsh Nordic winters they ate meats that had a high fat percentage.
