Thank you! Yes, they do have covid testing available. I believe you only need an antigen test for the US, but please double check. The antigen tests are $20usd and the PCR tests are $120 usd.

Do you prefer Bahia or RIU overall? I am debating between RIU las Americas and Bahia Akumal. Which has the better: beach, buffets, a la carte, and entertainment?

Two great choices. Beaches - both have inlet style beaches, not too big. But Bahia has a larger beach that stretches over to Tulum. Buffets - again, both are amazing! I have to tip the cap to RIU. They seem to have just a bit more selection. A la carte - both are so amazing. Even score on this one. Entertainment - Akumal, hands down. Lots of organized things to do, late into the evening. RIU usually wraps things up earlier.

What was the isolation process when you caught Covid @ this resort?

We got moved to the Covid floor and had to quarantine there. The hotel delivers food and drinks to your room for 10 days for free, or until you test negative.

Yes, your first antigen test is free - but PCR is $120 USD (at least those were the prices in Jan 2022… not sure if anything changed since then)

Lunch is served at the buffet and snack bar 👍🏻

The lunch options are very similar to the dinner options, lots of veggies, grilled meats and fish, pastas, salad bar, pizza, etc. At lunch there are also lots of quick options like burgers, hot dogs and French fries 👍🏻

Not at this time, but check with Bahamas tourism before you go in case it changes 🤷🏼‍♀️
