Buffy S02E02 Some Assembly Required REACTION

It may already have been pointed up to you, but Joss Whedon conceived this show, originally, as a hommage to horror movies in general, from the big black and white classics (Dracula, Frankentstein...) to 80's-90's ones (we already had "Chucky" inspiration in 1x09, and a quick reference to "It" with Xander's nightmare in 1x10), going through also some less known ones along the way. So if you have the impression in upcoming episodes that there is inspiration from other horror movies... it's certainly cause it's the case.

All the relationship stuff between the main characters really made this a good episode. Notice Angel is wearing clothes that are very much like Xander's and not his normal vampire outfit. He's jealous of Xander since Buffy danced with him in the last episode so he thought an outfit change to look more like Xander might improve his chances with Buffy.

I assume when you said "Isn't that a TV show", you meant Gray's Anatomy? The show was named after an old book that was considered in the medical field as the difinitive works on the human bodies and how they work.

This episode is interesting in that I like the set up and build and backstory they give the story and side characters. You don't get that much for characters lasting only a single episode. By the time the episode is over it is a little easier to have connected in some way to The Epps Family over other single episode characters.

To me, this episode is just so sad. I obviously don't agree with what they were doing, but between losing his brother and - in a way - his mother, no wonder Chris was utterly lost.

Actually in the book „Frankenstein“ was the doctor and his creation is just named „Frankensteins Monster“

The next episode is when this show changes and really starts to take off. It's been silly fun up until 2x03 and don't worry there's still more silly fun to come but things change a lot for the better here on out.
