@@anatoldenevers237 both are the same being, angelus is the demon part of him that which lacks any moral restrictions and has an animal impulse there may be a small difference but its like with darth vader in star wars they are the same being but still HOWEVER angel first wanted to atone because he thought he would gain something out of it, apeasing powers that be in one way or another for redemption and in 2 half of angel s1 he wanted to do it because of he wanted to be a human again, it was after that in season 2 after he had his talk with holland manners in that elevator that he showed his true colors, angel wasn't that diffefent from angelus only unlike angelus he didn't display sadism on living people but rather on darla and drussila when he burned them and he fired his employees because he knew they would hold him back from doing what he wanted to do, angel was in that grey moral area, my opinion is that angel and angelus are closer to each other than most might realize

2:30 Amazing! The very finest of acting from Sarah and Anthony. This episode vas very emotional, lot of sadness, compassion, grieving, and support from one character to another. 'Passion' was not only a mear episode name, it was a statement by Joss Whedon. He truly put his passion into this episode, and the viewer can feel it as he sees it

While I think they both already felt it I think this was the episode that cemented the "Father/Daughter" bond that Buffy and Giles have. Between Angelus calling Giles Buffy's "old man"(which is a slang term for father) and then Giles and Buffy's grief hug it really made them family.

Just here for the Giles and Buffy hug, because I just saw it on TV and it made me cry my poor eyes out. The acting, the emotion, the bloody writing in that scene was phenomenal. I had to see it again. And cry som more... Such a sweet, vulnerable moment between them. I love Buffy and Giles' relationship.

I always thought it was Destiny stuff. Actually on Buffy's show we can see there is a Destiny path on whole Show for every character. On this case we can see: - Once Angelus killed Jenny, Buffy had to choose to kill Angelus if needed, without any doubt from that moment on. - Jenny Calendar was not supposed to be the one who was gonna make that spell... it was Willow which was her first spell and with that she would become a witch. Actually it's Willow the one who throws the disk which contained the information (the spell). It's Buffy who found it and gave it to Willow. It was a sad scene back then and still hurts when Giles found her dead on bed.

Compare with the others, Angelus was the weakest big bad in the Buffy series, but he was the only one who broke completely Buffy emotionally. He used Buffy love against her successfully to case her pain, and if he was deep down did not love back Buffy he could kill her in the right moment when she was defenceless, but instead he has chosen to follow his passions, like Buffy did when he had the opportunity to finish him. That was why Spike so anger of Angelus. He knew Angelus did not give his best because his passions made him blind, which put him and Druslida into a great danger. Angelus was the smartest monster, even was not the strongest of them all.

Blake Eldridge the Angel spinoff came AFTER he was resurrected from Hell and no longer Angelus. In reference to Season 2 Buffy did eventually kill Angel. Death by Buffy was apart of his timeline. Had Buffy dealt with Angelus sooner, yes Jenny, Buffy’s classmate, and whomever else he killed when he was Angelus could have lived
