RIP Camden Toy. An actor who played four different characters in The Buffyverse: A member of The Gentlemen, Gnarl, and two who haven't been seen yet. I just watched a reaction video of _Gone,_ and the Scoobies were trying to trust Willow, while being cautious about their distrust. What I love about their distrust here, is that it shows Willow has lost all rights to even their caution of her. At this point she has to prove her innocence, even to her friends. It's writing you don't see in most shows in movies reguarding friendships and main characters. My first time watching this (during its initial airing) I didn't comprehend what was happening until Willow, Xander, and Buffy were talking to Spike and Willow didn't acknowledge Buffy and Xander while Buffy and Xander didn't acknowledge Willow. It didn't hit me until then.

He has a soul. Its not the same spike. Angel has done the same things he also tormented buffy in season 2.

Again, "the actor who portrays him" is James Marsters. I wish you could remember his name and give him the full credit he deserves for playing this character in this very complicated and difficult stage. I know you have never liked Spike, but please do James Marsters the credit of remembering and using his name.

Harsh lol I’m a die hard spike/spuffy fan too but everyone gets their own opinions 🤷🏼‍♀️give her a chance to get through the season to see if she lightens up on him a bit. 😉

@@alysharichards3757 I'm only feeling that actors, who work hard, and often bear the brunt of things when a movie or show goes against the grain, deserve credit. All the actors here are extremely good and dedicated, and deserve to be named.

I have to say of all the monsters, demons, in this show. Gnarl is without doubt the creepiest. Yeah sure The Gentleman and The Queller were nasty, but this one was so disturbing. Actually paralysing and eating Willow alive by stripping pieces of flesh from her stomach! An interesting concept here with the parallel realities in play. A great scene when Spike is talking to Willow, with Buffy and Xander there but can't see her. Light relief when Willow turns up at Anya's and says 'the boy was skinned' and they both say 'was it you'. A satisfying ending with the absolute reconciliation of Buffy and Willow. Both Spike and Willow have done wrong things and seek forgiveness. We have to remember Spike was soulless in Seeing Red at the time, this is no excuse for him of course, but he is seriously trying to atone. I know I keep coming back to this, but Faith doesn't seem to get the same attention for sexually assaulting Xander in S3 Consequences where apart from the sexual assault on him, she tries to murder him too, she technically raped an unsuspecting Riley also in S4. It's an interesting juxtaposition with the female assaulting the male, but the writers were trying to show that rape and sexual assault are to do with power over the vulnerable and weak. We can see at the end that the bond between Buffy and Willow is still there and unbreakable, and we see the absolute forgiveness, and goodness in Buffy's soul, she is a true hero.

I think the reason the Buffy grape is so bad is because Buffy is the strongest and the one to save us. So to see her so vulnerable is very upsetting. Yes the creatures on these shows are so creeping! There's a creature in S04 of Angel (very crabby) that is super creepy.

I understand how you feel about Spike and for years I couldn't forgive his character either. However after about the 15th time watching I realized Angel was evil as well and went through the same crazywhen he got his soul back. We didn't get to see it because it's previous the storyline. I still like Angel better but I do acknowledge that Spike earned his soul back while Angel was cursed with it which means a lot.

Michelle Trachtenberg could be really good ventriloquist if she wanted to be. A recommendation, not for a show, but for you too look up her appearance on MadTV & the spoof they did with her & Alex Borestin's Ms. Swan character.
