You will want to isolate that aluminum angle from the steel with pieces of rubber. That will prevent di-electric corrosion of the aluminum.

+Kevin Hornbuckle That's a good point. Since this is all experimental, and will likely change a hundred times (this is how I roll), I'll use similar metals since there isn't much of a way of isolating the fasteners. This will be a good experiment in the meantime - let's see how long it'll take to break down in the meantime. Any idea???

OK, well that was pretty ballsy bending the radiator. ;-). I had to straighten out an AC condenser once, as the result of a minor front end collision. Similarly scary. I did recognize those Subie radiator brackets befor you mentioned it. Good repurposing.

+Forthwith Tx Yeah, you may be right - but I just figure it's aluminum tubes, pretty straightforward. I should have probably bent it more but it'll do for now. Good eye on those brackets haha

Do you do a video of the final finish of the sheet metalwork in the spare wheel bay going to do this conversion myself don't know how I would go on for mot in U.K. So it would be good to see

+Daz Browne That's on my list - I haven't had a chance to do that or the turbo housing cover yet. It'll happen in the next couple months I'm sure.

Ha ha I have a massive list myself! Doesn't seem to be many people doing this in U.K. I'm having to KZbin everything then stumbled across the Subaru conversion just a quick question with the wiring loom would I be able to use it all auto electricians are pricey over here plus I was hoping to use the speedo and clocks out of the Subaru as the last owner of my bug as completely knackered the wiring loom cheers
