I need to wait for a computer or laptop for this lol, but I do actually use a mobile app that's pretty easy to use, and the character customization is easy! Sadly you can't make your own assets, but they do have this currency for pulling on gachas for new accessories

This is a perfect compromise! I would love to do 3D animation and all that comlex mumbo jumbo at SOME point, but right now I prefer 2D art making and knowing I can get away with making a model out of paper cutouts sewn together by post editing magic I'll definitly do this WAY sooner than I thought I would!

Well, this honestly helped my adhd shut up with the "The task is too vague and complicated!", coz in a step by step it makes more sense! Though, I wanted to ask - do you know if there are any bases that can be used as a reference? I have no idea how to separate my model properly, and I would love to take a look at an already separated model to see what bits go where and how.

I was getting so overwhelmed trying to figure out 3d modeling in Blender because my PNGtuber model is a bit less humanoid than things like Vroid easily accommodate for, but my character honestly works better as a more 2d design. This makes so much sense and is easy to follow. Now all I have to do is get good at drawing. Gah why cant there be some sort of way to translate sewing or metalworking skills into 2d art.

You can draw your model on your phone/tablet/ipad, but the animating/rigging part HAVE to be done in a computer/laptop. There's no live2d for android because mobile devices can't handle the cool shit live2d can do.. but if you want, you can pay someone to rig the model for you!! But it'll be expensive..

I know this video was uploaded some time ago. But correct me if I'm wrong while recapping... - You can draw your vmodel in layers before rigging. - You can rig the model using Live 2D. But rigging is the process that makes the model function (movement, etc.,) - Then you can use your model in a compatible studio program and you're all set? So you don't have to pay for Live 2D at all to use the model, it's just for rigging?
