Hi folks! Finally a legit Bugera BVV3000I demo.
so, the bass is Schecter Stargazer ( SS strings ofc! ) with EMG JHz on neck and SD SJB-3 Quarter-Pound on bridge position. The Stargazer has EMG BTS onboard preamp, EQ and balance pots are set to noon. Signal goes to Bugera BVV, through Ampeg SVT 810e made by LOUD (aka, not the "dark years" SLM cab). Recorded with Shure Beta 52A mic into Focusrite Scarlett.
I crank the master vol to 11 and control the overall volume with gain to get closer to the old SVT/ SVT VR sound. It's a standard practice with the SVT CLs, so I use it on Bugera too and it works. If you want to get the full badass grit out of the tube amp, you have to crank the output tubes section. Sounds better this way on clean sound too. Excuse me for not turning the EQ section knobs all the way up and down to demonstrate the full power of the EQ. I used a fat tortex pick, though I played with fingers and slapped too as you can hear. Thnx for watching! \m/

Best bass top ever!!! 💀 I use it for both bass and guitar with 810 Ampeg fridge. Ultra high/Ultra low everything at 12....pure sonic deviation 💀

You use it for guitar? I can't imagine how loud it would be. Also a dirt pedal would be mandatory!

Holy Moly...got the same head driving a TecAmp L810. Having the Master on 10 and the Gain half way up on an 810 must be incredibly loud. My band kills me when I crank the Master over 10 o'clock with Gain set to noon as the drummer starts to become unhearable... :-)

+Bernd Lindemann is this amp loud?
@Lindexslp
@Lindexslp 9 жыл бұрын
+Clayton Ray I would say yes, it is the same kind of amp as an Ampeg SVT-CL , and I have never heard anyone complain about these. Of course you need an efficient cab, don't expect to tear down walls with a 1x10...

I had one of those is fatal flaw was when you put it on standby the 120 V backfeed through the tubes and just sit there causing problems. The solution after having it repaired twice, was to leave the standby switch off

I think this is great amp for those money, but it has to be extremely loud so I can clearly forget about buying it and plugging it in at our rehearsal room :D Anyway, great demo dude.

FleshMetal I don't think thew quality of a 1000$ amp is the same with a 500$
@FleshMetal
@FleshMetal 8 жыл бұрын
yeah, but its not 2x more quality. you can buy literally two bugeras for one ampeg. just google "ampeg svt problems" by all means if you have cash go and buy ampeg, its sexy. but i d rather invest leftover from buying bugera into proper ampeg cabinet or something like that.

I would have to agree, ampegs aren't exactly reliable. Bugera is a decent amp for the money, repairs can be a pain though, low quality PCB.

How is the quality/reliability on this amp? Can it be taken on tour without having to worry sth will break? I've hear Bugera guitar amps have had various quality issues.

I bought it used for 350Eur 3 years ago. The head stopped worked for 3 times. It was caused by different issues. It was repaired by a local man who also produce his custom tube heads. Repairs costed me about 150Eur. But I still like this amp. The man who repaired it told me that he enjoy to play it more than an original Ampeg head. But without an Ampeg 810E cab (or maybe an another well build cab) it does not sound soo good. I like the sound but I also need to have an backup amp. The man who repaired it also told me that it is possible to decrease power by pulling specific power tubes as is often done for guitar tube heads

It sounds great; I love it. I got it for about HALF the price of a used SVT CL. I don't have an SVT for a side by side comparison, but it had HUGE headroom & sounds "big" in person like an SVT. The only question is reliability...if it turns out to be good, then it's one of the best values out there in a used tube bass amp. Others would be a Peavey VB2 or an Eden WTB300V, which also can be had for cheap.
