Your right it was a very tiny power band, but the sti six speed has short gearing so a small power band didn't really matter

yeah i watched again i was too quick to pass coment. its pretty good IMO. i saw a couple of these on 2.5 cars and they had really good topend. like you prob can rev over 8000rpm with yours?

Could* have yes, and it would have just kept making more power up top. This turbo on a 2.5 would be more like a mid range power where as on the 2.0 is all top end because of the lag.

Check out turbo lab the make great products that's what brand this turbo was, ran it for many miles and after the motor blew the turbo still Had zero shaft play

Thinking about this td06 20g on my ej255. Where do you think spool up will sit with the extra 500cc? Would be happy to get it down to 4k.

I got a Td06-20g on my 2011 wrx, the turbo spools around 4 to 4.5k than after that, the turbo goes crazy, I will tell u gets equal length headers. Will help the turbo more, I had unequal and In my video I explained why

another bad choice = your better of with a smaller more dynamic power band ! = i use a GT28/60rs 350hp at 14psi mid range = pull`s from 1,800 rpm - just gone pulling all the way to 7,200pm

That turbo's probably better suited for a rotary or a 3 liter. That's a lot of lag.

it worked just fine. short gears and a laggy turbo made it snappy. I now have a 04 sti with a built motor and a gen2 6266. you gonna tell me that my turbo is too big? please inform me why YOU know what's best for MY cars. ps, a 20g is a tiny turbo.

I was thinking out loud. I apologize if I pissed you off. 4K RPM spoolup just seems a bit laggy. It does seem to stay in the powerband easily with the short gears, you just can't let the RPM fall.

AnotherRumor how many PSI and read in another comment that it ended up blowing, how many miles did you get out of it before it blew

@@T_Rebel0 22-23psi only reason it blew up was because the wastegate line popped off and it spiked to 35+psi. It ran like that for over a year would have gone longer no doubt.

AnotherRumor awesome I’m in the process of a 20g Upgrade with supporting mods (Injectors, Fuel Rails, Fuel Line Setup, etc) looking forward to getting it on the dyno I’m also running a 2.0 on a 5 speed. Did you ever take this down the drag strip? Got a time?
