Nice job on the install. One suggestion if you haven't already addressed it. The gear mesh on the reduction box is way off. That's why the whining is so loud. I assume they are straight cut gears, so there will be whine, but not that loud. It sounds like the mesh is too tight/close. Fix it before it fixes itself! LOL

Manioj I agree solar panel good idea, AC charging station would depend on batteries being used. Also rear brake light could easily be incorporated into battery box design.

Would like to see specs on the kit he installed, motor could be used as generator to recharge batteries when driving as normal bike. Also go with plastic marine battery holder? Didn’t see grommets installed into metal battery box to protect wires rubbing and shorting? Like box idea for different battery configurations but controller may overheat so weather resistant venting might be considered. Very good video, would love to see a design where motor supplements the pedals instead of direct to rear wheel in order to utilize the different gears existing?

A solar panel that small would be almost useless: 10-15Wp at most, plus charge controller. That wouldn't even offset the weight added by the panel itself.

It is better for the box in which you put the battery to be an aluminum box.Because the iron box continues to heat up at high temperatures, which causes the battery to explode and shorten its life.

I have a few ebike kits and you can only hear the motor if youre in an arms reach of the bike. If you go outside its super silent. maybe they put a lavalier near the motor for sound effects. I guarntee you ebike motors are pretty quiet.

Use can see motor struggling due to heavy weight. Because lead acid batteries are so much heavey. On other hand, im using 24v 26ah lithium ion battery pack , which has 15A max discharge and BMS for safety. It can do till 30 but litmied to 25 due to restrictions on ebike in my country

I have the 36 volt version of this kit on its way. I built a simple battery pack with 2 18 volt dewalt batteries that i already have for my tools. Was actually really simple to put together. Ply box, small l-shaped backets that slot into th battery slots and connect them in series.

I have the same kit, exept 450w and tuned it up to 1000w. I had to weld mounting iron a bit to get chainline staith, but now its good, and holds whit big power. And is fast :) I recomend smoler freewheel to motor for better torq, but then use atleast 36 volts.

It works much better if you mount the motor in the triangle and run a chain around the smallest sprocket on the chainring on the cranks. Then you can keep all your rear gears
