Another inspiring model you created here. And combining it with an obstacle course is, in my mind, borderline genius. Did you film the opening sequenze outside? The foliage seemed to move a lot. Where the forklift segments stop motion or is he powered as well? The first looked like it is powered, the second appearnce hinted at stop motion 😳 And a big thank you to you and the wife (?) for going the extra mile, making the sponsored segment more engaging and humourus
@BoulderCreekRailroad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Martin, yeah it was filmed outside and it was a tad windy 😃 the wind was coming in waves and I did my best to film each time the wind died down but those trees are tiny and the slightest bit of wind looks like gale force wind! The fork lift was stop motion, it would be cool to make it powered but there isn't much space in those forklifts! Also thanks for appreciating the sponsored segment, I know most people don't like them so I tried to make it a little entertaining to watch 😃

I didn't know how fascinating this was until I watched it all the way through. I can't believe how much I learned. I had some ideas along the way. For example, depending on the scene, building in some general purpose wiring could be used to add street lights, illuminated signs and buildings, a motorized raising-bridge, a working windmill, lights through a tunnel, etc. Another idea with respect to the river, you could add stuff like little fish (install them on little pins and they'll keep their depth while pouring the resin), old tires, or a lost shopping cart or barrel, an abandoned submerged car, a little boat at a dock, etc. Using a small pump, I suppose one could even create a real running river, maybe even with a small waterfall or working paddlewheel. Wouldn't it also be very fun to add a tiny wifi video camera to the vehicle and to record that while driving from the vehicle's perspective. Put up a green screen behind it and you could add a real sky to the video. Turn on the vehicle headlights and the lights on the scenery and go for a night drive.
