Hi awsome channel so question I bought the modify double sector gear with a matrix 3000 speed motor what kind of spring I can use now that its gona half stoked the spring plus get a little more of fps? And thax.
@valleyriverarms9 жыл бұрын
pedro trinidad I don't really like the modify DSG. It's made of shitty materials. Get Siegetek instead and support the original. Also your motor is most likely going to draw a massive amount of power and melt. I recommend a torque motor instead. You have to start at at least an m150 spring but ideally m170+

Can u further elaborate on the changes to make sure the 13:1 setup works correctly?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
Replaced the entire gearbox shell, shortstroked, replaced the spring to make sure it was at the right fps and not pre engaging, replaced bearings, replaced bushings, reshimmed a couple times, etc etc. It was just an ordeal and quite honestly I don't remember all of the alternative parts and stuff that I tried.

I am looking for a new hop-up bucking for my stock g&g r8-l, and I was wondering would a Prometheus air seal chamber soft version would increase my range and accuracy?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
ive had good experiences with that one but its pricey.

Thank you. Price won't matter if its good quality

Does the SHS m4 air nozzle fit? I'm putting one in a EF 4CRS and I've heard of fit issues. Wondering if you knew, or if the AK length is best. Thanks.
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
never had a problem with SHS m4 nozzle fitment. If needed I sometimes sand down the tips of the air nozzle.

You should open up an online shop where people ship their guns to you and you customize them!

lol I have no time to do this full time and realistically it doesn't pay as well as it should.

How can I get better trigger response without increasing rof? Or is it unavoidable? I have a lonex a2 on standard lonex gears and am thinking of switching to shs 12:1 or 13:1. It's lonex m4 with m120 spring.
@justingoncalves678810 жыл бұрын
use a high speed set up with a 7.4. if you use a good battery you wont lose trigger response. low ratios gears, high tpa neo motor like 22tpa and a 7.4 lipo (get one with a high c ratiing; at least 30. ) should get you around the 20s. also another option is using a mosfet that has the ability to control ROF like the Black talon concepts fets.
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
Get a really high torque motor and a really fast gearset. 13:1's on a 20-24 tpa motor is something like 20 rps but with snappy trigger response
@PaperScarecrow10 жыл бұрын
A strange setup I messed with a while back had instant response and only a rof of around 24. It used a standard 18:1 XYT gearset short stroked 4 teeth with a gold prometheus ms135 spring and a JG blue motor. Response managed to be just about as fast as my 10:1 DSG setup in semi with a big lipo.

Would you recommend shs 13:1's?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
sure. lol it depends on the application but for the price they're solid.

Be cautious with Gate fets. I've burnt out almost every single one I've used; they even failed on basic 20RPS at 370FPS setups. They just seem to have a lot of lemons.
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
I've heard mixed reports too. I figured this wasn't too insanely high stress so I should be okay, and the torture tests I've run through it seem to have held up so far.
@sc0llay10 жыл бұрын
How come it's only 32rps on 13:1s and a lonex A3? Is it the stock armature?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
Yeup stock armature. Just assembled and this is what it gave me. Lonex motors have always been on the slower side compared to other high speed options.
@sc0llay10 жыл бұрын
Yeah but even the A2 gets 38ish on 13:1s, I find they slow down quite a lot when the comm gets dirty

So I have an unrelated question! Since you work with evike, are the dboys steel reciever ak47's rebranded cyma? And do they cme with neo motors? Thanks! And happy new year!!!! P.S. -where have you been! You do good videos!
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
Uhh depends which one you're talking about. There is a difference between dboys and CYMA guns but the ones marked as dboys should be dboys and the ones marked as CYMA should be cyma. Neo motors depends on the batch. I've been busy with numerous different things so I haven't have time to make videos.

What do you think about SHS high torque motor?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
been a long time since I used one. For the price and performance there are probably better options at this point.
@therealbr4ndo10 жыл бұрын
what is a good mosfet for around 20-50$
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
gate stuff is alright for low stress stuff. Otherwise take your pick out of the other 3034 based fets out there.
