It's definitely more toy than performer...and yet still keeps up if not exceeds NERF most of the time in terms of performance. Had I had this when I was young it would have been my favorite toy ever.

Speaking of Convergence, that would be a pretty decent platform to make a Plasma Cutter. Even better, one could build a shell around the “skeleton” to make ANY nerf gun

@@WalcomS7 it's not hard to overcome the mass appeal/casual approach performance from Hasbro these days. They should definitely tap into the enthusiast market with a dedicated pro line of foam dart blasters, but that's another topic for another day. I'm happy with the resurgence of these K'Nex toys and the fact the company is pushing this crossover. Great review 🔥

This would make Greg Renko very happy. His shorts about COD, or any other game that uses firearms would be much easier because he could take less time trying to make the grip, and just use these peices, and they look much cooler(even though you don't usually see the grip in his shorts. I love Greg's vids so much, he's a great youtuber).

this is the most unique blaster on the market. you can literally make ANYTHING you want, which means if you buy this and play with friends, then you and your friends will have a bunch of different results that fit them. i would honestly buy multiple of these if i could

Those are pretty nifty. I bet the 'core' pieces could be modified pretty easily to take beefier motors. I can see a lot of uses for this both as its own stand-alone thing and as a way to rapidly prototype other blaster project ideas.

A long time ago Coop built a double barreled pistol that sort of looks almost like a Cortosis Battle Droid's hand (i.e the barrels were side by side, but spaced kinda far apart) And I still want to get the sets to make that possible

I'd say a 2 or 3 day event. For the 2 day, day 1 is build and test, day 2 is the actual war. The 3 day sounds more interesting though, where day 1 everyone gets the most basic of kits then goes out to scavenge other kits to add to their blaster, day 2 is build and test with what you found, day 3 is the actual war.

Even though this was just a chintzy 10 minute commercial, I want to love it! If I was into K'nex like I was into Lego for 40 years, I probably would. Curious about the aftermarket modding capability now, if it can take better motors & batteries and what kind of shells can be made with K'nex. I'm worried all the shell designs will be skeletonized, but maybe it can make some techno-organic looking stuff. Cronenberg variants like the gristle gun but with plastic levers and gears and bars.

As uncomfortable AF as K'Nex were as helmets and BodyArmor when young me repeatedly built them, and tried to keep my EyeBalls intact long enough for an InstantPoleroid... I would still try to make a CrotchGun mounted around my waist, with these.

i think the idea is good they just need to make the design of the moter way simpler, instead of basically a premade blaster you can modify, give use just a motor and then tubes and gears and belts and let us create the entire gun (i really just wanna make like an MP-40 or and MG-42 but the mechanism looks big and clunky)

8:39 in vid Knex mechwarrior was a thingabout 20 years ago i personaly only liked the dark series 4 (fire mech / catapult / converted construction mech) those have parts that last but you can barely find them anymore (i got construction mech and the catapult mech compleet). firebug almost 2x compleet missing rear panel jetpacks. stil looking for it. P.s i might consider scanning the parts of these mech or dowing a custom overhaul once i get time for that. But yes they are kinda forgotten in 2023. Also ather downside to most of the mechwarrior sets before dark age 4 is that most of them hard cardboard art on them. so a lot of these sets basicialy turned to dust or got torn apart or stuf whent missing or got destroyed. (it would be cool if somebody had time to make proper 3D printed parts for the old mechwarrior / cardboard) but its probaly gone cost a lot of effort + manuals and instructions are scares ive been trying to collect information on the subject. ---- p.s im unsure if my idea's are workenbale im gone start a new job next month.

Would you do a vid/slight mod guide on the hyper mach 100 with the dimpled 50 cal balls? They feed through mine beautifully and nevery jam. The one downside is the door that normally is the perfect width to stop hyper balls from hitting the flywheels before you pull the trigger is not wide enough to stop the 50 cal balls, so as soon as I rev, this thing spews the few balls that escaped into the flywheep cage. I think it would be a worthwhile vid
