if you are in the computer repair industry having all you tools to hand can save a lot of time, I like to create many different types of USB pen drives with all my bits of software I like to use. You can make a Bootable PC Rescue USB with tools like Acronis, Hirens Boot CD, Paragon Partition Wizard, Memtest86+ and maybe Kaspersky Rescue CD. the list is endless, you can add what software you use most. Whether its data recovery software or Windows operating systems. The choice is yours.

Hi Brian, yes I did permission for WinSetupFromUSB to include RMPrepUSB. It also uses my DPMS2 code for installing XP too!

There is another way to do this via Easy 2 Boot: 1. Download the program from the official website 2. Execute it and choose your USB Stick 3. Copy over all iso files into the right folder 4. Make the drive contiguous with the bat file 5. Profit.

Excellent Video! Allow me to add a small detail I believe you didn't mention. About RAM... (For Newbies) As the video mentions, 8 GB is recommended. And we clearly see onscreen that it is a 64-bit system. But what the video fails to mention is that on an older PC with a 32-bit processor, your maximum usable memory is 4 GB. Anything over 4 GB in a 32-bit system is a total waste of money. It simply cannot use more than 4 GB of RAM, period. So, by all means, upgrade your RAM to 4 GB, but do not expect miracles from a 32-bit system. It'll be fine for most tasks, but gaming not so much. Again... 32-bit system: Maximum RAM 4 GB (it can only actually use about 3.8 of the 4) 64-bit system: Use as much RAM as you can afford -- But 8 GB should be enough for most needs. It is somewhat understandable that this was not covered by the video since 32-bit systems are pretty much a thing of the past. But my old Toshiba P200 (from 2007!) is still quite usable today as a second laptop, or a media center. So, I'm hoping this information will help somebody out there wanting to get the most from their old equipment, but would rather not spend good money on RAM that won't be used. Cheers from Canada!

Thanks Brian :-D Nice util, i did wonder if pauly also agreed to his bootice being used in somebody elses free util. That bootice is a really supprisings util, pauly is a clever programmer, so handy for playing with bcd on cd or hdd, my favorite bcd tool.

nice video. i had to overcome the fact that UEFI bioses boot only from FAT32 partition. and that my Windowses install.wim are greater than 4gb because they include some software. i created two partitions in the flash drive one fat32 , and one ntfs to include all windows files. what i`ve learned from this video is that grub4dos is now better to boot ISO files then in the past.

"Like" is an understatement here. I didn't realise creating a recovery toolkit like this was so easy. After watching your video I did a little research into Windows PE and didn't know it was free from Microsoft direct. I'll be making one of these toolkits for myself. Will save a LOT of time finding another WinPE type environment and seeing if it's got the right tools or not. This way, you'll KNOW it has.

i just use Rufus to Burn the Iso as boot-up to the USB mem stick then tell cmos on whatever system to Boot from USB Flash Drive

winsetupfromusb gets stuck at: Preparing NT6 boot files, please wait... Nevermind, I got it. ISO's need to be named different. Like if you have Windows 8.1 Home, You cannot use another ISO named Windows 8.1 Pro. Which is messed up IMO. Now then, how do you convert a jpeg, bmp to a gfx file?
