tip about the spray glue: spray both objects, the plywood and the paper, and let it dry before adhering. not completely but until it's tacky to the touch. THEN put them together. you'll have to be pretty exact because since it's not wet anymore it doesn't let you adjust but it'll mean for a much stronger bond. when you use the spray adhesive wet it still needs to off-gas and dry and if it's trapped between two objects it can't do that properly and so won't actually hold very well.

Gandalf Le Blanc Aside from getting help from an actual metal inscriber, you're probably looking at getting a matching ring that is flat and applying some kind of stencil on top and coating it to keep it nice. Not really worth an entire video - You can pick up the skills required from this one (or any number of others)

clear coat over the paper. as long as you don't plan to stand on it the clear coat will help with peeling and give the whole surface a uniform gloss.

Great video! Just made mine using these instructions. I used 8" sandwich / pizza trays instead of plastic plates and I'm going to use mine as a guitar pedal board so haven't bothered with the footplate. Thinking I made mount some perspex blocks on the underside to give it some illusion of it hovering.

You say you spent only $33 on the entire board, but you did not in fact count all the materials you already had at home, like all the spray paint for example. That alone surely ads a handsome sum to the overall total. And I'm not even mentioning the high end tools you are using to make this - one would have to buy them to even come close to your final result. I'm not saying I don't like what you do, I actually find this amazingly impressive! But nobody believes anyone could copy this design without considerable investment, so it would be good if you could take that into account.

Machoucha Cha I'm assuming anyone who tries to make this already has tools and isn't starting totally from scratch, so I don't count tools. Spray paint normally runs $4 per can but this pink was actually $7.50. It would sort of just be impossible for me to track the cost of like 4 sprays from a can and a single screw etc so I'm only adding up what I spent. :)

I built two of the terminator arms he did, and his total was 30 including the stand , I spent about 50ish (though I did have left overs ) but if you have common tools and a local home depot and or hardware store the price is pretty accurate

The foam board is a much cheaper alternative that can be cut with an x-acto knife. The boards would probably be $2-5 each and spray paint would be $3-6 a can. Those would save you a lot of money that might have gone towards power tools or materials and could go into another prop!
