Build the Titanic issue 64 from Hachette

Welcome to my channel for issue 64 of this lovely build.
In this video we attach another section of the hull and a cross support. The Superstructure PCB wiring is connected and 2 light tests carried out, also parts from issue 60 are added along with 3 reflective stickers.

It's great to be able to look ahead. I'm in USA and at Pack 7 (Stages 33-38). Packs 8 & 9 are also to hand so I'll have a marathon build session. Reason it's nice to see ahead is because I'm going to be weathering a little as I go to add realism. I find the white plastic bits too shiny and 'toy-like' as is. Same with bulkheads, etc. Thinking of a different white to tone them down, more semi-gloss to matte in variation. When the hull is fully together, it will get a matte finish, as well as the funnels. I think a little extra work can enhance the overall look.

Hola amigo Juan desde España, enhorabuena por tu Titanic y gracias por tus explicaciones y consejos, yo voy por el fascículo 17 en espera de recibir hasta el 20 y según veo tus vídeos más dudas me crean, en primer lugar podrías poner el enlace de donde comprar exactamente la misma cera de abeja que usas tu?? Y otra duda es lo de las pegatinas esas que pones bajo los Leda de las cubiertas superiores?? Para que sirven?? Y no le quita luz al interior?? Gracias amigo te está quedando genial, merece mucho la pena esta espléndida maqueta del Titanic

Hi, any tin (not spray can) of Beeswax should be good, I bought mine from the National trust which is a charity that looks after historical buildings and estates in the UK. The stickers are to stop the light bleed through the walls and no it doesn't reduce the lighting through the windows. Thanks for watching! 😀

Hi John, i have just finished isue 64 and tested the lights , all working exsept the red and green navigation lights , didcyour navigation lights light up when you done your lighting test ? Great video by the way !

Hola Amigo, otra vez yo…jajaja, tengo otra duda!!! No sé si me la puedes aclarar tú o no, vi hace tiempo un vídeo de un compatriota tuyo que perforó los ojos de buey de la proa, no todas evidentemente por qué hay zonas en las que van las uniones y no se puede, pero la mayoría de ellos si, tú crees que es viable el hacerle los agujeros o sería un atentado contra la integridad del casco… jajaja me conformaría con que le llegase algo de luz en la proa, también observé que venía el pequeño bote colgante de babor y de estribor, estaba sufriendo por eso que no lo veía en las fotos de los planos y ya he estado a punto de encargar unos en 3 d gracias a ti que Lis vi no lo he echo, también hice una prueba con cinta de carrocero muy fina y la corte a lo largo y la pinte de amarillo y la pegué y queda genial, si no viniera esa línea yo ya tengo la solución!!! Gracias de nuevo y perdona por extenderme tanto

I honestly don't think the extra portholes would be an issue, but I am not drilling any. The tape is a good idea, but I will wait to see what Hachette will provide, and hopefully, it will arrive before we start the rigging. The 2 cutters on the overhanging davits are supplied by Hachette. Thanks for watching 👀 🙏 ☺️

Una duda más, por hay que estáis mucho más avanzados en el montaje… sabes si la línea amarilla que va a lo largo de todo el barco hay que pintarla o vendrá algún tipo de pegatina o Sticker??

No one knows for certain, I did ask Hachette sometime ago and they said the build will be authentic so it may be a decal or not.

@@JohnsModelmaking ok 👌 supongo que así será, de todas formas hay fallos, como en la cubierta de proa y popa que la zona baja van los laterales pintados en naranja y parte de las paredes frontales así como mitad naranja y blancas las trampillas de las bodegas de carga, yo eso ya se las he pintado
