One suggestion for talk heavy videos like this - maybe try throwing in a quiet background track of some of your tunes here and there? No idea if it's just me, but I find it easier to keep focus if there is something I can nod along with along the way.

I did the opposite. I had a laptop as my main pc for a longtime. This past spring, I built a desktop and man it’s like night and day in terms of processing power. It would cost me about 10k in laptop form for just 2k. I still have my old laptop which is good for portability.

Subscrition: Well, actualy it's exorbitant amounts of money. Just have a look at your online bank account at the end of the year. No, subscribtion services are not "great for people starting out", they're a trap. Painless little money, every month, every month, etc etc... For broke people, like me, there's enough free legal opportunities and just buy-for-real what you absolutly need (in my case a big nice orchestral library). I don't have a landlord, I don't need "softwarelords". Number ok keys on the master keyboard: 61 is, for me, the bare minimum. I work presently with a 61 and I would like to upgrade to 88. I'm tired of the transpose switch. Getting an old synth for cheap as a master keyboard: Great advice. I totaly agree. When you begin with little money spend it on something which make noise you can use in your music. Mike, the panel behind: Great idea. Furthermore it's perfect when you have to record a too excited singer, it reduces his/her movements (in this case you also have the old trick of the unpluged mike, but he-she-doesnt't-know-it's-unplugged, behind the head...) Idea to record the voice: Use an Eero Aarnio ball chair 😉
