I am from India and I can attest u that no one takes personal development seriously here. Most of the people are for materialistic gain. But I can buy ur argument of "Billion people and guru in them'.
@ClearOutSamskaras8 жыл бұрын
+Harshal Shinde, he said that India has a very ancient and rich tradition and culture of taking spirituality, enlightenment very seriously. The evidence of that is in the development of Hinduism and Buddhism to name just two things. Leo's uncontroversial point is not invalidated by the fact that much of Indian society is trying to carve out material success for themselves in a country that is trying to modernize and enrich itself along modern capitalist/information age paths. India is a nation-state, it also has a grand traditions of spiritual inquiry and development; one aspect does not necessarily cancel out the other. India is a big enough culturally, historically, socially, and geographically to encompass many differing things all at once.

Wow Leo, you created this video at the perfect time for me!!! I have went from working 5 days a week and spending 2 days crafting and honing my music/creative passions. NOW, with a new job which is COMPLETELY different from the previous one (cooking) i work 3 days a week and the remaining 4 i work on myself, music, art, drumming, KZbin, etc. Gradually i am gaining a small income outside of being an employee and being "self-employed" (live performances, monetizing, music sales). I am finding VALUE within myself and am working hard on that every fucking day.. it's tough but must be done. A vision came to me 3 days ago. A small workspace/warehouse in which i can rent or build. There, i can create.. all day. It will be so efficient and allow me to implement an idea as soon as it comes up. This is tough, and pretty scary. I must work hard at creating the blue print for this. Thank Leo, and much love to everyone on the path to enlightenment ;)

Imagine there is a table. On that table is a pile of gold, you can take it and become rich, successful and fulfilled or you can leave it and make jokes about it and brag how heavy this gold are and go away. Although your the same as you were before, poor, unhappy, the machine. The cycle continues. Take it or leave it decision is yours. Thank you Leo for gold you giving to us for free. Very good information about building an infrastructure that is solid and has meaning. Leo mentioned that the environment plays a very important part in the building process. For example: I, personally, cannot be around anyone (friend, fake friend, family, associate, random stranger, etc.) that doesn't contribute to any type of good vibe or growth and development. The poisons of life starts with the person and his/her pendent for not seeing one grow. They pinch holes and puncture close one's spirit just to get they're own jollies off. Real talk, especially here in NYC

YES! Another idea is to record yourself on your phone. When an insight pops up, either have your device recording in the background or create a shortcut to your phone for voice recordings. This is fucking GREAT. I have read books like Jed Mckenna and other enlightenment books that talk about truth but don't ever mention or talk about the infrastructure of building this life. This makes high consciousness seem pie in the sky and kinda "well I gotta pay bills, I gotta eat!" reactions. This is perfect and I have FINALLY started to be able to reconcile this conscious dissonance with this video.

Hehehe...I think not. Our democracies are less than 60yrs old, give us time to mature politically. Per usual, on point sir. I'm currently at the foot of the bridge on this one. Distractions, especially romantic/friendships, were in my way... It's challenging to stay on track with life going on, with it's emotional loops. I stopped meditating a while back and am kicking myself in the ass now. No perspective in the "now." But in other ways I have built infrastructure... for a hobby instead of my main goal. I'm also struggling with anxiety surrounding the starting of college, because I wasted money and time long ago. Procastination is a bitch.

“God’s not gonna build you a fucking highway to your dreams.” I love that message tbh. I was raised with the notion that, “God helps those who help themselves,” was wrong, but that is bullshit. All of God’s men were men of deep introspection and powerful action, King David, Samson, King Solomon, Elijah the Tishbite, King Jehoshaphat, Joseph of the Many Colors. These were all driven, active men who listened to God and thus did great things, and anyone who sits back and totes, “Jesus take the wheel,” is kidding themself

Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts! The worksheet is wonderful! Just like you, insights and new ideas pop into my head throughout the day and I'm grateful that my mind is expanding and growing. However, I'm also trying to live my day according to Zen Buddhism - fully being in the present moment. I wonder if the mind is 100% in the now, can insights and ideas still be born at the same time? (The reason I'm not very clear about this is because whenever I have things pop into my head, I think/am afraid that I'm not fully in the present moment... l don't know if my mind is expanding or just simply wandering. )Thank you!
