You’re absolutely right bout other people having land and letting people grow a bit of produce on it. People in Michigan and Ohio do it all the time. But recently solar farm companies have the same idea and slightly out price the profit of corn or whatever per acre. So quite a few people just sit and wait for the inevitable day when a solar salesman comes through.

You spoke about leasing land for a setup. Did you do a 3 X 3 lease, how did you manage to secure the lease from massive inflation or them not renewing the lease and walking in to use what you have setup.
@BuildASoil2 жыл бұрын
You can secure a long term lease over 10 years of you want. Also make sure to be transparent and communicate well. We are lucky to have an honest landlord that I trust but in hindsight I was too scared to do a long enough lease. Knowing what I know now I would pre-negotiate a very long lease with normal price raises over the term and ask for a first right of refusal to not renew the lease of the farm plan didn’t work out. Really you just have to ask what makes sense!
@craigdawson76322 жыл бұрын
@@BuildASoil thanks for replying people. In comercail leases over here a 3 year with right of renewal for two more terms. 3 + 3 + 3 But if your doing well so many building investors really try to walk that line to charge you as much as possible without you moving at the start of each term. Down time, walking away from all that work getting it right. They really have you over a barrel
