Dude!!! Wife had to have a 71 521 converted to a 4x4 in the 80s!!! Has a 2.0l from 200sx with a 5spd. P/s from a 300z. Front axle dane 30 with disc brakes ( unknown make)with 6 lug hub!! Fun to drive!!✌️

Nice work. I drove a red 521 from 1970 to 1974 in high school. Sure wished I had kept it. It had slotted aluminum wheels, a header with 2 inch exhaust, offenhauser dual port intake, bucket seats out of a mustang, 8 track with 6 speakers, and a Dixco tachometer. I also took a Hurst shifter (the handle only) and ground it to fit the Datsun bushing with a T handle.

Nice build! I have a 521 and trying to replace a track bar bushing but not able to find one. Any ideas?

I replaced the whole thing. Rock auto was the best price even with a delivery charge

what did you you coat the frame with? or any of the other parts you may have painted on the suspension I'm probably gonna do a semi restoration(or half assed🤣) just so I can try and prevent further rusting and just enjoy the truck Everything looks so mint on this.

Just rattle cans of rustoleum for under coat and underbody spray on the from. The rustoleum rattle cans on parts. Using por15 and a spray gun for under body

Could only get one side... I think only the right. Welded up the other side. Hope it holds 🤣

You "might" be able to find parts in South Africa. Nissan South Africa made a 1400 well into the 2000s, some parts might be interchangeable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_1400
