Review it! I picked up my built 2006 z06 a year ago. Although it can be a gamble with a built car mine paid off! My dream car definitely has not let me down and I have to say anyone looking at getting a c6z I highly recommend. Everyone I talk to that owns one loves them, and the people who have sold them regret it.

I can't argue with that. It's definitely /way/ too loud under load but for a non-daily, I'm ok with that. I had burble added too. I'm sure that's beyond stupid loud but it's stupid fun when you're driving.

@@jonr7207 if you're going to cam it yourself, get ready for a pretty big job. You have to take all of the accessory driven stuff off of the engine (except the AC) and push the steering rack most of the way out of the car to even get to the cam. Not impossible just a lot of head scratching the first time around.

C6’s are nice when they run right. I went through a lot of troubles with my H/C one It’s like impossiable to get these clutches to run right for a long time, and the whole drivetrain falls apart. I think their at there best with fixed heads and longtubes only tuned

As a GM automotive tech, hearing him say that trouble code was a U1000 code, really was nails on a chalkboard to me. Almost any GM vehicle around 2000-2010 that has a starting problem, has that code and some bullshit intermittent gremlins along with it that are not letting the ECM send the crank ground signal to the crank relay.

Yea man, it was crazy. At first I thought it was related, but then after messing with it and found that it was just repeated to the wiring issue. The clutch pedal has t pins into it and horrible wiring from a previous nitrous install, causing all the issues. The fact that the starter was bad also and there were multiple issues relating to it caused it to be a little more difficult to narrow down.

Got that right, I bought a 10gt500 750hp 3.6KB and a ton of upgrades, but they put fresh plugs in so on my test drive it seemed perfect, then on my first full pull after buying it started missing, pull the plugs and no 8 is smash! Turns out 7&8pistons we’re breaking away pieces under boost and the previous owner sent me pics of them after!! Wasnt that nice of them! Of course never mentioned it before! Several thow later & forged everything, I’m rebuilding it again after lifting the head. Buyer beware! Buy stock!

what do you mean? acceleration? driveability? track? to answer your question itll win 3 out of 4. its lighter since no FI and has lightweight parts, will not heat soak meaning it will make the power all the time, however it is much louder and proba ly not the best idea to daily drive

I had a cammed C5 Z06 on a 250 shot, it made close to 700 wheel on the bottle. By no means was it mind-blowing fast but man that was a fun car. Straight piped with only resonators, it sounded so mean.
